  1. Thanks everyone for your input. Big *** Fans sent me a new fan to try. They have great customer service. It actually took me about a half a step closer. I can now, occasionally, control the fan and the light from their wired switch, but I can't do it consistently. @palayman, I took your advice. Fortunately for me, the fan and switch live on a circuit with no other Insteon devices on it. I killed all circuits with Insteon devices on them at the breaker box. The switch produced the same result. Largely not working, but occasionally it would. According to Big *** Fans, the switch should be within 20' of the fan, and it is. That's 20' of wire, not a short crow flight. But, just to be sure, I wired the switch in the ceiling, just above the fan. Same results. The only other thing I can think of is some wiring issue in my house, but I have no idea what to check or how to check it. Since I've wandered outside the scope of this forum, I'll leave it at that, but if anyone has any final thoughts, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks again.
  2. I recently bought a Haiku L ceiling form Big *** Fans. It's a great fan, but it requires a remote to control it. They have an option for a wired control switch that appears to communicate with the fan via the common (white) wires. I don't know the protocol it uses to do this, but it's not working for me. The reason I'm posting in this forum is I'm wondering if there's any way that my ISY/Insteon automation might somehow be interfering with the communication of the switch to the fan. I did try disconnecting my PLM, but it didn't make a difference. I have a number of Insteon plugs and switches that would be more difficult to remove, but I suppose I could try it. I can't imagine that this is really the issue, but in working with Big *** Fans' tech support, we have tried two different switches and two different controllers in the fan itself. I've tried every combination too (i.e. each switch with each controller) all with the same result. This should be a plug and play solution. Tech support and I are both scratching our heads, and I'm starting to grasp at straws. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
  3. Thanks Michal. This has fixed the issue. I'm not sure how I ended up with the SCE pilot version. I originally updated my firmware from the portal by selecting Maintenance > Firmware Update. I wasn't sure if I had a current version of the launcher, so I just searched for a launcher download and executed it. Are there different versions of the launcher? One that would have applied the SCE version? If so, that's probably how I got it. I didn't pay close enough attention to the launcher download. If they are the same, then I don't know how I got it, because from there, I just opened my Admin console from that launcher and the upgrade kicked off automatically. Bottom line, your advice had fixed my issue. Thanks.
  4. Yes, I am using the launcher. Yes, my UI & Firmware are the same:
  5. I've rebooted my ISY. Now in addition to the LIB_ERRORS-403, I'm getting Could not open file [/DEF/F1/I1/NLS/EN_US.TXT]. My error log since the reboot... Wed 2020/09/09 10:52:20 AM System -5 Start Wed 2020/09/09 10:52:21 AM System -110022 /CONF/INSTENG.OPT Wed 2020/09/09 10:52:21 AM System -110012 /CONF/INSTENG.OPT Wed 2020/09/09 10:52:22 AM System -110022 /DEF/F1/I1/NLS/EN_US.TXT Wed 2020/09/09 10:52:24 AM System -170001 [Network] Established Wed 2020/09/09 10:54:04 AM System -5011 uuid:0 Wed 2020/09/09 11:04:31 AM System -10011 n/a Wed 2020/09/09 11:04:49 AM System -10011 n/a Wed 2020/09/09 11:04:55 AM System -170001 [Auth:-10103] 192.168.171.20:55039->80, Num=3 Wed 2020/09/09 11:04:55 AM System -10011 n/a Wed 2020/09/09 11:05:30 AM System -170001 [Auth:-10103] 192.168.171.20:55072->80, Num=4
  6. After upgrading to v5, when I open the Admin Console, I get two error windows. First I get LIB_ERRORS-403, then I get Request Failed. I am opening the Admin Console through the Launcher. When setting up the Launcher, I added my ISY again using the Admin Console URL from the portal under ISY Information. It does not matter if I use the ISY line item that the Launcher identifies or the one I added, they both point to the same ISY, I get LIB_ERRORS-403. However, it's only when I use the line item that I added that I get the Request Failed. Once in the Admin console, after clearing the errors, I went into Set Userid/Password, Admin User and created a user with the same admin credentials as is on my portal. I've closed the Admin Portal and relaunched it via the Launcher using the credentials I just set and still get LIB_ERRORS-403. When I log into the portal, I can see my ISY with a green connected light on the line. I can't tell if these are extraneous errors, but something seems to be amiss.
  7. Thank you. Problem solved. RTFM on my part. I must have missed that notification.
  8. After recently logging into my admin portal, I see all my programs, 15 in all, are highlighted yellow. When I check the Summary tab, the activity for each says, "Not Loaded", and the status says, "Out of Memory". When I check Tools > Diagnostics > System Status it reports 1768 MB Free. I assume this is memory. My firmware is v5.0.16. My UI is v4.7.3. I saw a thread indicating that programs are not upgrading to firmware v5 and to make a change in the program and save it to clear this issue. I tried that, but no joy. I even tried creating a brand new program. Once saved, the summary tab reports that it is Not Loaded with a status of Out of Memory. I have rebooted the device several times, but no joy. I'm not seeing any other remedies on this topic. Can anyone assist?
  9. Thanks guys for your responses and your input. Looks like this one was an RTFM issue. I did replace a dead PLM about a month ago. I didn't realize you were supposed to restore settings (File|Restore Modem (PLM)) when you replace a PLM. What threw me off was not all of my components failed. 75% of my infrastructure still worked. After performing the restore, everything began performing as expected. Thanks again.

    Major Errors?

    I think I just had a significant event. I suddenly see the green 1011 icon indicating a pending write to a Keypad Linc, 2 Fan Lincs, an inline linc and an outlet. All of these devices have stopped working. I've tried factory resets, deleting and re-linking them, but I can't get any of them to work or to clear the green 1011 icon. Is it possible for all 5 of these devices to have gone bad at once? Are there any other steps I can take?
  11. By errant device, do you mean the inline switch wired into the pool lights or the keypad? I assume the former, but just checking. I'll check in tonight when I can have a look.
  12. Yes, when I deleted the program, it disappeared from the left side. Yes, having just logged back on (first time in ~20 hours), I can confirm that the program is still gone from the left hand side. I can also confirm that the program still appears to be running (i.e. when I turn the lights on, they turn on, wait, turn off, wait and turn on). I don't recall if I saved the changes after deleting the program. I just did it now, but the behavior is unchanged. Any other thoughts? Thanks.
  13. I have a program in my controller that is no longer relevant. I tried to delete it, but it keeps executing. I removed all devices and scenes related to the program, re-added them and re-configured everything, but the program continues to execute. I've rebooted the controller, and the program still executes. In case it's relevant, I had a set of pool lights that, when you turned them on, if you turned them off and back on again, they would change colors. So, I programmed them such that when I turned on my pool light key pad button, it turned the lights on, waited, turned them off, waited and turned them back on. I have since replaced the lights. The new lights don't require these actions to create a light show. But, despite having taken the actions above, when I turn the lights on, they turn off and back on again. Can anyone help?
  14. Thanks Michel. I followed your steps and get the same results. As a point of clarification, the dashboard is asking for a password. My CA doesn't give the cert a password (I know, there's a security issue there). When I import these certs elsewhere, when prompted for the password, I just hit enter and it imports the cert anyway. I think what happens with my ISY, since I don't enter a password, it errors out and does not import the cert.
  15. I'm trying to import a server certificate on my ISY 994i running 4.2.10. On the dashboard, I open Network, select Server Certificate and select No. I have an internal CA on a pfSense firewall that I've used to generate a self signed 1024 bit/SHA1 certificate. I export the certificate in .p12 format and change the extension to .pfx. It's my understanding that .p12 and .pfx are identical except for the extension. I select Import Certificate and select my .pfx file. None of the fields populate. I see no option to save anything, only to close the certificate window. When I close the window, my ISY seems to have no desire to reboot to use the key. I notice that when prompted for the Keystore Password (when opening the Server Certificate window), I can put any password in to open the window. Is this normal? Seems like something's amiss here. Also, my certificate does not have a password. Shortcoming of my low budget CA. So, when prompted for a password after selecting my certificate, I just hit Ok. Not sure if this errors me out, causing the certificate not to import. I have the CA certificate installed on my PC. This setup works fine for other devices using certs signed by this CA, but my ISY is throwing an SSL error and identifying the device as insecure. Am I doing something wrong? Do I have a corrupt Key Store that's throwing things off (I'm worried I seem to be able to get into the key store with any old password)? Any thoughts? Assistance greatly appreciated. Thanks.
