  1. My filterlinc doesn't fit into the appliancelinc because of bulk do you have a recommendation or know of a device that has both built into one?
  2. What I noticed was that I had some communication failure with the appliancelinc, it still worked so far but I couldn't query it and it wouldn't show when it was on. The plm is not on the filtered side of the filterlinc so that should be fine, and the isy being powered on the filtered line shouldn't matter either, right? Right now my appliancelinc is running my PC, but I would like to use a filterlinc for my PC since I imagine that it must put out noise or suck signal strength, right?
  3. If I place an appliancelinc after (on the filtered side) a filterlinc, will I have problems communicating with the appliancelinc? Will any insteon devices placed after (on the filtered side) the filterlinc have problems communicating with the isy?
  4. Lol I feel the same way sometimes. I've got them turning on with one program using an or statement for either motion sensor. The off is giving me problems. If I use an and statement for control switch off they don't switch off. If I use (control switch off and status off ) or ( status off and control switch off ) where the two parens are the different motion sensors they still don't turn off. Looking at your sample why do you put the then statement in a separate program? And yes everything is pointing to a scene not directly to a device.
  5. so I'm trying to use two moron sensors in the kitchen so that if one sensor is triggered the light turns on but will only go off if both motion sensors are switched off. I tried using and with parentheses placing both control switch with an and operation inside for turning off the scene as well as a And parentheses with an or operation on the inside for turning on the lights bit neither seem to work. Prior to the and parenthesis there is a date/time variable followed by the control switch and then a variable. Did I Do it wrong? Is there a better way too use two or more sensors in one room? Does order Matter inside or outside the parentheses?
  6. 'm sorry I meant appliancelinc not powerlinc. I was thinking of putting the filter on the wall outlet and then put the ups with two power strips and all the devices connected to the two power strips. If any insteon devices go after the filter will it mess with communications?
  7. So from what I read the filter cause between the powerline and the device. In my case I'm not trying to control appliances, yet, just the lights in the room with the wall switch insteon controller. So, where my av and networking equipment I just plug it into the wall and plug the ups into the filter with all the devices plugged into the ups? The subwoofer, not a powerful one, is likewise plugged into the ups. The only appliance problem I had was with a powerlinc connected to a monitor. When they were plugged into a power strips behind the ups none of the switchlincs were getting signals.
  8. I imagine I have a basic home theater setup: surround sound receiver, camera system, converter box, router, nas drive, tv and a pc connected to two power strip connected to a ups. I get intermittent devices not working usually the same two or three wall switches. If I move the isy and plm I usually get worse results. Where inthechain should I place a noise filter for insteon? And because so much is plugged in near each other will i need more than one?
  9. What I Didn't see was code for direction. I liked that Lee used variables but it also looks like the order of the trigger doesn't matter so long as both ms are turned on that's all that matters. For me turning on 1 then 2 is different than 2 then 1. Did I Read the code wrong?
  10. So I was wondering if any one has tried using multiple motion sensors to determine direction? For example, walking towards a room triggers multiple sensors in order which let's you know what room or area to turn lights on for. Or multiple sensors to accurately determine motion in a large room?
  11. Title pretty much says it all. I had a complex program and for whatever reason the kitchen motion sensor wasn't turning on the kitchen lights. I checked and the motion sensor is going on and the program is running to turn on the lights but it never turns on. Same problem with the hallway program and bathroom. This is my event log if it helps: Thu 10/30/2014 15:44:09 : [ 27 91 81 1] DON 1 Thu 10/30/2014 15:44:09 : [ 27 91 81 1] ST 255 Thu 10/30/2014 15:46:20 : [ 24 A BB 1] DOF 0 Thu 10/30/2014 15:46:20 : [ 24 A BB 1] ST 0 Thu 10/30/2014 15:47:18 : [ 27 91 81 1] DOF 1 Thu 10/30/2014 15:47:18 : [ 27 91 81 1] ST 0 Thu 10/30/2014 15:48:58 : [ 27 91 81 1] DON 1 Thu 10/30/2014 15:48:58 : [ 27 91 81 1] ST 255 Thu 10/30/2014 15:50:07 : [INST-SRX ] 02 50 27.91.81 00.00.01 CB 13 01 LTOFFRR(01) Thu 10/30/2014 15:50:07 : [Std-Group ] 27.91.81-->Group=1, Max Hops=3, Hops Left=2 Thu 10/30/2014 15:50:07 : [ 27 91 81 1] DOF 1 Thu 10/30/2014 15:50:07 : [ 27 91 81 1] ST 0 Thu 10/30/2014 15:50:07 : [INST-SRX ] 02 50 27.91.81 00.00.01 CB 13 01 LTOFFRR(01) Thu 10/30/2014 15:50:07 : [Std-Group ] 27.91.81-->Group=1, Max Hops=3, Hops Left=2 Thu 10/30/2014 15:50:07 : [INST-DUP ] Previous message ignored.   12. I'm curious, how did you clean up your system with that many nodes??
  13. I got it to work by unplugging and replugging the PLM ... should have thought of that sooner, but thanks for your suggestions I'll add them to my trial and error process next time something goes wrong!
  14. I feel like an idiot but that worked. I never reset the PLM before but now comms are working. Thanks so much, it's a huge relief!
  15. I checked the links on the plm and it has 36 devices, quite a few which are double and triple entries. status gives me the address, revision and connected. I couldn't add a motion sensor to the isy but it work on the insteon hub. =(
