  1. Have you any knowledge of anyone working with DSC Alexor wireless security system and a U-D ISY994i along with a single iPhone compatible remote control for everything (like maybe MobiLinc HD)?
  2. Which Do-It-Yourself wireless security systems does Universal Devices ISYNC 994i ISY/PLM and Insteon wireless devices integrate with? I'd like to control both a monitored wireless security system and UD/Insteon automation devices using my iPhone, if possible.
  3. I attempted to install Open/Close window and door sensors, Access Points (communicated correctly), SwitchLinc Dimmers (2-wire, older house), 2 First Alert smoke alerts with a smoke bridge, and 2 flood sensors.
  4. As a newbie, I purchased a number of Insteon devices in the hopes of building my own home security and automation system. I had the help of a nephew who had over 10 years experience working with Smarthome/Insteon devices. After installing the equipment I had great difficulty creating scenes and programs that were reliable. The programs and scenes worked intermittently and in some cases not at all. Due to a pending extended trip, Smarthome and I decided that I should return the questionable equipment before the 30-day No Hassle Return period expired, which did not afford me the time to determine the root cause of my problems. I really want to consider another attempt at installing a Smarthome/Insteon system but am 'gun-shy'. Could my root cause have been either a bad ISY or PLM, or is it more likely that I have some 'power line noise' issues in my home's wiring? Is there a way to determine this before I commit to another Smarthome equipment purchase?
  5. I have been able to create an 'All Lights On' scene controlled by a number of Open/Close sensors where the lights all come on at the same time when one of the Open/Close sensor-Opened goes 'On' due to a door or window opening. I'm using the scene as a perimeter security system. The problem is that when the window or door that controlled the scene is closed, the lights turn 'Off'. I want them to remain on until an overt action is taken by me to shut them 'Off'. Any ideas?
  6. Guys, Just the kind of info I was looking for. Thanks for the links. I now have to train.
  7. I'm totally new to the ISY/Universal Devices/Insteon/X10 world and need to learn how to understand and create programs and scenes for old Radio Shack X10 modules and some newly purchased Insteon devices. Is there a programming and scene creation resource that I can learn from?
