it looks like a standard OS conf file (but i clearly dont know FreeBSD all that well, and spent most of the 5 mins it took to update it trying to remember how to use VI to edit the thing without destroying it :)) but if it gets overwritten in an update its not life ending, i'll just update it again.

Firewall errors as it was blocking the outbound connection to the NTP server Polisy had randomly chosen for me.

Thanks, super helpful, there is an option in ntp.conf to choose a random pool in a random country (which is the default and doesn't seem to be that random :), or choose a random pool in a specific country, and changing to that seems to have sorted it. And the clock didn't seem to be drifting, just the errors were getting annoying. thanks for the help!

Hi everyone, the subject line pretty much describes it, i'm trying to figure out how to manually set an NTP server either somewhere in PG2/PG3 or ISY on Polisy. It's currently trying to go somewhere that is geo blocked on a firewall. Thanks!

you rock! just installed and set it up, works perfectly with my 690. Used dorita980 to get the BLID and password. thank you!!!
-
i have firmware 3.x, it's not listening on HTTPS anymore, i found the thread i'd read, it mentioned them moving to MQTT... are you on firmware 2.x?
-
Awesome, thanks, does this work with a 690? i tried the BLID method but it looked like the firmware I'm running was preventing me from accessing it locally, from what i read iRobot changed the protocol they were using to control it?

Turns out iRobots auth problem was my problem, piHole was getting in the way. Anyway, IFTTT works great. Set up 3 applets to start, stop and dock following the instructions here http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY_Portal_IFTTT_Integration to get IFTTT working with ISY. Then added a program that starts Roomba when my alarm is to Armed Away, and a program that stops, then docks Roomba when it's disarmed. Only bit you can't do with IFTTT is get Roomba's current status, so if it's finished it's job when the alarm is disarmed it gets the stop and dock command anyway, which doesn't seem to bother it. I also set a variable in the start program and check for it every time it runs to stop it running more than once a day. It gets reset every night when i set the alarm to armed stay so it's ready to clean up our mess the next day...

For anyone else trying to set it up, I did some quick digging this morning, there's a great thread here https://community.smartthings.com/t/roomba-980-wifi-connectivity-reverse-engineering/44860/165 - read from the last post up. Options are run a local server (https://github.com/koalazak/rest980) or use IFTTT (plus ISY Networking Module per http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY_Portal_IFTTT_Integration) Once iRobot fix their auth page (there's no way to log in at the moment, something is busted as it's the same from within Alexa and IFTTT) I'll give IFTTT a go.

Set the alarm to armed away and roomba does it's stuff when no-one is around, come home to clean floors.

Hey pgattu, did you figure out how to automate your 980 using something like roowifi (vs IR)? any tips? thanks!

Hi Michel, yup, it is in programming mode, i can remove and re-add it as a device, it just fails when trying to add it to a scene.
-
Me either, I can add the motion sensor as a new device but fails everytime I try and add it to a scene.
-
I just hit this too with a rev 1.1 motion sensor, v72 PLM, 26 devices. Thanks, Rich.

Hi Michel, Thanks for the reply. I spent a couple of hours reading through a few of the other forums this weekend (probably should have done that first) and have done the following; 1) Moved my accesspoints so that one is on the same circuit as the PLM and the other is as close as it can be based on my houses wiring -- This actually got things going sporadically, which is better than it was before... 2) I noticed that a switchlinc connected to a set of floodlights on my deck outside was randomly turning on/off with the familyroomlight, I factory reset it, unwired it and it was still randomly doing stuff, so I swapped it for another new switchlinc (the old one is being RMA'd). This helped a lot, so I'm guessing this was sending randomness over the wire and confusing other devices but it didn't 100% solve the problem as the program still wouldn't execute consistently (it was better though)... 3) After much trial and error it looks like my outside lights (all CFL's) that illuminate my house and driveway are causing the inconsistency.... well it's either the bulbs or the timers that they're wired to. If I switch them off I get 100% success with running the program, if they are on it randomly works about 70% of the time.... So... I think I have 2 last questions... Does anyone have any recommendations for CFL's that are happy outdoors and are Insteon friendly? I have many other CFL's indoors and they don't seem to cause an issue... and lastly, does it really help to have more than 2 accesspoints? Thanks for you help.
