  1. RobT Wished I could tell you how I fixed the issue i had. My text messages just started working again. Thinking it may have been a cell phone vendor issue.
  2. I have three Insteon wireless thermostats. Two of them work just fine. The last one I purchased about three months ago went through two returns Because they would not display the temperature in the ISY. The third one they sent still would not work. By the way I tried all of the suggestion listed above to get all three to work. I finally kept The third one because the heating and cooling status would update in the ISY. I use those values in a program to control what I need done. Running the latest release 4.6.2 for firmware and UI
  3. I recently bought and returned two of these 2441zth thermostats. The third one I kept but it will only report to the ISY whether cooling is being called. The first one I could not get to link. The second one linked but returned no info to the ISY. I have two others that work just fine. I am running firmware and UI 4.6.2. It displays the temperature just fine.
  4. I have two 2447zth thermostats which I use to control fans In two separate rooms. I also have a significant number of humidity updates about 1 minute or so apart from both of them in the log. One of the thermostats has a 5 volt power supply and the other is battery powered. I think I have isolated the reason to air from the fans flowing across the units causing small humidity changes. I would also like to know if these updates are impacting the ISY operation. So far all I have done is save and clear the log once a month. This last month I had 55,000 entries in the log. Thanks
  5. Forgot to mention the operational time for the current PLM is just under 11 months since I bought it as a Spare unit.
  6. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and ideas. My plm is a V1.B 1403. I have reread some of the issues on the forum. This is the first all on event I have ever had so I retraced my recent activity. I just put in a 2477S and a 6 button switch. I factory reset theses devices and I also increased the wait time before turning off the backlights on my 6 button switch. In the previous Plm that failed, I replaced the capacitors so if I get the event again I will probably replace the plm with this reworked one. The all on event impacted the insteon bulbs that I have and the bricks. None off my insteon outlets or switches were turned on.
  7. Can I assume that if I am getting devices randomly turning on with nothing in the log indicating an activation and the status of the device not being correct, that I have a failing plm. I replaced it on Aug 10 2016. However it is older than that because I bought it as a spare. Thanks
  8. 539 programs 117 integer and 17 state variables 60 insteon devices. All to support leak detectors, motion sensing, irrigation system, notifications, cameras and lighting programs while home and away. I use at the most 8 scenes to control back lighting on 4-6 button switches. Also use network resources for web application and camera control. Also retired and glad I found UDI as my replacement for x10. I have gotten a lot of support from this forum to educate me.
  9. Thanks again. I now have my programs all set up.
  10. PurdueGuy and I think fellow Engineer Thank you for your response. Worked perfectly in my browser and I entered the address in the Network Resource Module. I now need to read some more to understand how to call it in a program. Thanks again. I can't count how many hours I put into finding out how to do this without success.
  11. I knew I would forget something. The camera model is a Smarthome 75790 Thank you
  12. Asking for specific help with cameras. I have the Network Resource Module but I am clueless regarding how to control a Smarthome camera. I found from this forum that I should try my commands in my browser before trying the address in the Network Resource Module. But I have tried numerous combinations but always get the message that the address is not found. I have researched this forum and the web and the information that Stusviews provided on the Foscam camera. But have not been successful. I probably am being pretty brazen in asking for the forum's help but I honestly am at a point where I don’t know where else to go. This forum has a lot of information but I am just inexperienced enough that I cannot fill in the blanks to get the URL to work. What I want to do is have an ISY program point my cameras to the wall when we are home. Right now, I just have them switch off when we are home but I feel this will cause them to fail with these numerous power changes. My cameras are all wireless and I am able to connect to them using an app on my IPAD when we are either home or when we are away. If I provide sample credentials, could someone build me a URL using this information. I have made numerous attempts to get the URL to work in my Firefox browser but have had no luck. Here are my sample credentials: Lan address - 192.168.1.6 Port – 9200 Camera Credentials Username – Duck225 Password – Chicken193 I want to have my camera move to Preset 2 which, if I understand from a contribution to the forum, is command number 32. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.
  13. Brian Thanks. I suspected I may have done something with the old Plm especially since the link count was taken a day before it died. Appreciate your response and my peace of mind. I won't spend anymore time looking for missing links
  14. I had to replace a PLM that was 2 years and 4 months old. (My brother also had one fail two weeks before mine. His was the same age but he was able to replace the capacitors and was back on line quickly.) I bought a new PLM from Smarthome and followed the instructions on the WiKi for replacing a PLM. Prior to my old PLM failing, I had 128 links but now I have only 125. During the replacement process, I had a 1011 notes for all of my Insteon Bulbs both 60 watt and 75 watt equivalents and for obvious reasons, for my battery operated motion detectors and leak detectors. Not sure if this was the correct procedure, I right clicked on each of the bulbs and clicked on the write updates to device. That worked for all the bulbs and for all of the battery devices once I began the link process for those battery devices. So at this point, in Network view, all of my devices appear to be in the system (linked?). Now my question is this. Is there a way to find my 3 missing links? Other than not having all the links, everything seems to work as programmed. Thanks for any help
