In Polyglot I changed the polling for the tags to be 10 minutes for the short poll and something longer for the long poll. However I still am getting polling data in the ISY log every minute. Is there another way to change the polling to reduce the log entries. Thanks in advance for any insight from the forum.

Thank you. I will dig out some old wall warts and give it a try. Initially was confused about the amperage but understand that now. Good to know that a charger can be adapted for continuous power. thanks again

i updated to Version 5.0.16 from 4.7.3. Pleasantly surprised how easy it was. Here are my observations i would say approximately 50% of my disabled programs were marked enabled after the update. I was aware of this from previous posts so I made a number of screen shots to show which programs should be disabled. all of my motion detectors were recognized immediately without putting them in linking mode i have a few scenes where I use program logic turn off the button lights on four six-button switches. All of these scenes converted correctly without any manual intervention. Maybe these are not scenes in their true definition. Thanks to all at UDI for all their work. Looking forward to implementing some new ideas in the near future.

Is it possible for the ISY to detect if there is an internet connection and if there is not one to run a program to turn off/on an Insteon module connected to the router/modem. Appreciate anyones help help with this. About every three months or so my router/modem disconnects from the internet and I have to power cycle it to get the connection back. Works fine when home but not great if out of town.

I am doing some research for my brother who had his ISY994i fail due to a lighting strike close to his home. I'm retired and have more time than he has knowing that he is wanting to order new equipment as soon as possible. He is planning on replacing in kind his ISY99i Pro model and PLM by purchasing it from Orchestrated Home. We both bought our ISY's from them.. My question is this. Will he be able to recover the modules he previously purchased (Climate and Network) at no cost. If at no cost, from whom should he recover them. I noticed on the wiki that the modules can be transferred if replacing an ISY99. Should he contact support@universal-devices.com with subject "Transfer Modules" with the UUID's for both units. Thanks for any direction you can give.

Thanks Paul. Although I don't have any of the 01010 icons next to them, I will put them back into linking mode again. I will feel better since I have never had this happen after three PLM replacements. We have become dependent on the Text messages and not being sure they are working gives me some stress. Thanks for your help.

Thanks to everyone who provided suggestions for my issue. I looked in the error log and found the following errors recorded at the time I should have received text messages. Unfortunately, I don't understand what they mean. But after looking at other times in the error log, this was the only time where I could find where I was not receiving text message and getting any errors. So I concluded that these errors are not related to my issue of not receiving text messages. I am using open and close battery sensors pasted on the garage doors and not using iolinc, so I could not try Paul's suggestion. So I took a look at how I configured the system to where I was sending email and text messages. I am using google to do that. I was thinking maybe it was centurylink and the issue was with them. What I did not mention in my original post was I also get text messages if someone comes onto the deck or porch when we are gone. Those were not working either. Those sensors are both x10 motion detectors and an insteon motion detector. Finally, I took a look at my programs and not finding anything wrong, I just forced a save of the file. Now everything appears to be working fine. I am probably like Kissfan in that I also don't have an explanation why things started working again. Things have been working fine since Monday, so I hope whatever this issue was, it is fixed. Again, thanks to all.

Wondering if anyone has experienced their text messages not being sent. I recently replaced my PLM and i still have the same number of links today that I had a month ago. We have Verizon cell phone service. Everything was working correctly until yesterday. My wife and I get text messages when either of us come home and the garage door is opened. But these messages are not coming through to either of our phones. I have an Iphone and she has an android phone. The ISY also sends an email duplicating the text message. For the most part I have been receiving those emails although I did notice that a few were missed today. When I perform a test of the cell phone text in the ISY to both of our cell phones, the test system messages come through fine. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Note the PLM that I installed a month ago was updated with new capacitors. i have it control lights, and I have not seen any issues with lights not turning on or off. As I said, these text messages have been working fine for the last three years. No changes have been made to any of the programs. I am running the latest version of 4.7.3 with both Firmware and UI the same version. I have a 994i Pro system. I installed new batteries in the open/close sensors last month and I get heart beat notification from each of the sensors every morning. Thanks. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I want to thank everyone for helping me with this replacement. Followed everyone's advice and it went smoothly. Hopefully with the new caps I won't have to replace for a long time. just curious if anyone knows the life of the PLM with the new capacitors. Maybe no one knows since no one has had to replace one with the new caps. One can only hope. Thanks again

Dear Forum i need to replace my PLM tomorrow but I am wondering if what I am going to do will cause problems. The last time I replaced it, I used a new one out of the box. It has been 2.5 years since I replaced it. Since then I repaired the old one using the directions I found in the Forum. Now I plan to replace the current one with the repaired one. Will this be ok or will I have old links that will cause a problem. Thanks to anyone who can help me with this.

Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions to help me through my problem. But I think I found a simple way to avoid future false alarms. I added at the folder level the time constraint that I wanted use and removed that time check from the program. The following is what I did. I also tested it with a light and it worked as expected. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Folder Conditions for 'Night Motion - When Home' Add conditions to limit when programs in this folder are allowed to run. If $sVacation_Away_1 is 0 And From 9:30:00PM For 9 hours Then Allow the programs in this folder to run. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ My program is as follows without the time constraints as I used previously. Now the program no longer triggers if for some reason the status of the Hall Motion Detector is "on" when the folder tests "True" If Status 'Hall / Hall MD-Sensor' is On And $iEnable_Motion_Detectors_Night is 1 Then Wait 2 seconds Run Program 'MBR - Chime - On' (If) Send Notification to 'Home Email' content 'Hall_Motion' Wait 1 second Run Program 'Activate Siren - Hall' (Then Path) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Thanks again to everyone who provided suggestions!
