  1. I will fix that now. Thank you for your help. Much appreciated.
  2. Is there a good wiki for this? I don't think I actually understand what I need to do to configure the controllers. I'm definitely more of a novice, and I don't have a lot of experience configuring the ISY.
  3. That's what was confusing me. The instructions say to Copy Scene Attributes, but I don't see where to do that.
  4. Yes, sorry, the load wire is capped off. Only hot, neutral, and ground are connected.
  5. I have the black and white wire to the hot and neutral from the ceiling line. The red wire on the fan controller goes to the black wire from the fan. The blue fan wire goes to the blue wire on the fan controller. I should have the picture up in a few minutes.
  6. I have version 5.0.16C. The KPL is wired to hot/neutral that I pulled to the box. It's not connected to the Fanlinc. I have the lights connected to the blue wire on the Fanlinc. Stupid question, but how do I copy the scenes to paste them here?
  7. I purchased a fan controller and keypad to use with a Hunter fan. I attempted to use the Wiki found here to program this, but I'm having issues: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY994i:INSTEON_Device:FanLinc-KPL_FanLinc_KeypadLinc_Configuration I think that I did everything correctly, but I can't find the option to "Copy Scene Attributes from." The keypad has no LEDs on and doesn't seem to do anything if I hit the buttons. I tried activating one of the scenes within the administration panel and that also does not appear to work. What's odd is that one of the scenes actually turned the lights off on the fan, even though the lights aren't part of the scene. I don't understand how that can happen. I'm pretty sure that my wiring is accurate as it's color coded. When I control the fan/light directly from the fan controller within ISY, it seems to work fine.
  8. My sister just purchased a condo, and I promised her that I would put in some type of alarm system. I don't know the best option. She wants home automation for lights, front door, etc, so I was planning to use ISY/Insteon/Mobilinc. I suppose I could also use the Insteon Hub, but it seems like the ISY is more reliable. I use it personally, and it's been great. She has a second floor unit, so there is really only one point of entry (aside from the windows). Her needs are pretty simple, but I know she would want monitoring and a mobile app. I've seen different options like Abode, SimpliSafe, LiveWatch, and others, but I don't have any experience with them. I'm not even sure if it's worth integrating with ISY, as I feel like the standalone features are sufficient. I see that people like Abode, because it interfaces with Z-Wave. Does anyone have any ideas for a good option? I'm overwhelmed by all of the choices.
  9. Good suggestion, thanks! I will post over there.
  10. I recently purchased an Amazon Echo, and I would like to integrate it with my ISY. From what I understand, I cannot use the ISY Portal if I already have the MobiLinc Connect Portal. Does that mean that any integration has to be done using MobiLinc? Can anyone point me in the right direction for the best way to integrate? I tried adding the MobiLinc and MobiLinc Smart Home skills, but it's not detecting my devices. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I don't mind if I have to purchase anything. I just want to be able to get this working. I appreciate any suggestions or advice.
  11. I'm not sure if I waited long enough before restoring power to the ISY. I tried it again with the way that you suggested, but it's still not working.
  12. I was looking at the ISY instead of the PLM. The sticker says 2413S V1.B 1420. When I try to get the status through the Console, it gives me a Not Connected error message. I will update the firmware now.
  13. Sorry for the delay. The sticker says 2413S V1.B 1420. My ISY firmware is v4.5.1, and UI is v4.3.2.6. Thanks.
  14. I was hoping that someone could help me troubleshoot my ISY 994i. My knowledge is very basic, so I'm not sure how to determine the issue. My system had been working perfectly up until now. When I open MobiLinc, none of the statuses appear. It just has a line where it normally says On/Off. The other day, I tried restarting the PLM and ISY. That didn't work, and I noticed that I couldn't get into the Administrative Console. I restarted again this morning, and I can now access it. I am getting the following message: Your system is in Safe Mode! This is normally caused when the system cannot communicate with the PLM. Please check the connections/wiring to the PLM and then reboot your system. If the problem persists, in all likelihood, the PLM Is defective." Is it likely that the PLM is defective, as the error message indicates? I was going to just buy a new one. It's almost 3 years old, and my understanding is that they don't last very long. I appreciate any help.
  15. What would I lose by just using Homeseer alone? My biggest want is mobile phone integration...
  16. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. If I have Insteon devices, I understand that I need the 2413S. I also have to buy an AC adapter. Is there anything else that I am missing? Would you recommend the pro model or just the regular one?
  17. Thanks! I am so overwelmed by the choices. I don't quite understand the difference between the two devices. I have read reports of people having both devices, and I can't determine how to choose one over the other.
  18. I was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction. I am fairly new to Insteon and am confused about the difference between the ISY994i and the Homeseer options (HomeTroller, HS3, etc). I have mostly Insteon in my home and want to be able to control it from my phone. I had thought about the Insteon Hub, but I will be installing a Baldwin z-wave deadbolt. I thought that ISY or Homeseer would be a better choice, since they support z-wave. I also plan on adding various Insteon lamp modules, sprinkler control, alarm, and HVAC. I want to be able to control everything from my cell phone. I don't foresee doing anything too complicated, but I'd like to have the option of advanced configuration. I understand that ISY and Homeseer can work together (at least in some form), but my understanding is vague. Is there a reason to have both devices? If I only had one, is there a better choice for my purposes? I appreciate any insight.
