Today the lights were on all night, as intended. The logs showed the lights going off at random times, but always when the first shift in the plant had started to work. Maybe a zombie link to the light switch in the restroom??? Clueless. I'll keep an eye on it, but as long as it works, I'm happy. Thanks again, guys! .

Or somebody just hits the button to save energy... I'll look into that tomorrow. Just for fun - I have made minor changes to the program and reversed them just to force the programs to be saved again. Is it possible that the program gets corrupted somehow? Again - thanks for all your help!
-
Those are just lamps, no sensor. I can switch them on and off all day and all night. And the program is incredibly complicated... SL Doors - [iD 000A][Parent 0001] If From Sunset To Sunrise (next day) Then Set 'SL Hall Doorlight' On Set 'SL Door lamps' On Else Set 'SL Hall Doorlight' Off Set 'SL Door lamps' Fast Off I have to check the logs. There must be another reason.
-
@teken: yes, all the clocks in the network and the ISY are accurate and ntp synced.
-
Okay, if that's the case then there must another reason why my safety lights go off before sunrise. I have to check my logs. Thanks so far for your help!

If I select the closest city, the daylight saving rule defaults back to US-Canada and the daylight saving checkbox is disabled (greyed out) but checked, which is obviously wrong this time of the year. I can select Off, but I am pretty sure it will then stay off until I change the setting back by hand. This is apparently not working as it should. But to me, it seems to be such a basic function - how can a bug like this remain undiscovered that long? That's why I thought I was doing something wrong. Does this work for anyone here - in the sense that DST is applied automatically?
-
Hm, this is what I did. Entered the coordinates, but the program doesn't do anything with the DST setting, so all my programs run one hour off until I change the setting manually, I am thinking it could be the coordinates instead of a city? But the closest place on the list is 250 miles away, so sunrise/sunset would be off.
-
Thanks, Teken. That worked. So there is no setting that turns it on and off automatically? I thought the US-Canada-Option is meant for that,
-
I'm sorry, Michel, I don't get it. What daylight saving rule do I wish to use other than US-Canada? Australia? Europe? I am in the US.
-
Thanks, Michel. I am using custom location (coz the SC Capital is not on the list, which is strange) Daylight saving rule is set to US-Canada. How do I set it?
-
Good morning community, one of my ISYs (only one) shows a greyed out DS-Checkbox, so i can't uncheck it. For some reason, this seems not to be set automatically, so I simply got into the habit of setting it by hand twice a year. This year, one box doesn't allow me to do it, the others were easy. Any help would be appreciated...

@stu: It is a commercial building, constructed with growth in mind. The power supply is vastly oversized for what we are using now. I know we have 277V, because most of our machinery and most of our lighting runs on that. But Maintenance Man said these lights are on 480V and added, he has never seen that before - so I am pretty positive they are running on 1 phase 480V. If they were on 2 phases of 277V, he would've said so. But I'll verify that on Tuesday. We will go with the suggested relay. Thanks, guys! Enjoy the long weekend!
-
Thanks for all your thoughts. I have 10 (maybe 12?) 400W HID lamps on that circuit. No motors of any kind. My maintenance guy tells me they are on 480V. I have quite a bit of experience in household stuff, 120/240 Volt, but everything bigger than that is beyond me. So I don't even know whether it is one hot wire with 480 Volts or maybe 2 wires with 277 - but he knows and he will find the proper relay. I'm not gonna touch it myself. The message I needed was: There is no insteon device, so we have to find a relay and control that by something from insteon. Thank you all!
-
Sorry I have 120V or 277V available, just on/off and the amperage is not dramatic, that circuit has a 20A breaker. Yes, the relay is plan B, I was just hoping that there was a device that can do it directly. Thanks!
-
Hi All, the title says it already Is there any ISY-controllable device, preferably insteon, that can switch a 480V-line? Couldn't find anything... Bright ideas are appreciated

Finally I am back to normal... I had to remove all devices from my scenes and re-add them. Now everything works like a charm. I don't know what else to say or do - there was no error message indicating that the backup or restrore was incomplete or unsuccessful... No, I don't have any door sensors. But I had disabled a few devices that I don't need in the winter. Could this cause a problem? They were just disabled during the initial restore, I had enabled them later for test, but it didn't make a difference. Anyway, I am happy now. Thanks for all your time, guys!

Thank you for your time, Lee! Much appreciated!!! Just for the heck of it - I tried to remove a device from a scene and re-added it. Then I let a program activate that scene. Only the new device came up, not the other devices in the scene. Guess I simply have to spend the rest of the day recreating my scenes.... The very same thing happened to me when my insteon hub died on me. The restore (houselinc) brought everything back, devices and scenes. The scenes (especially the schedules) just didn't work anymore. I thought this was just an insteon thing, so I changed to ISY. Kinda disappointed to have the same experience here! I'll keep you posted...

No, I did not use the Delete Modem command. Did file - Restore Devices. Still only 30 Links in the PLM (I had deleted and re-added 2 devices) and the Device has lost one more link, see attachment. It is the most current backup I have. It did not give me any error messages, I can find all the program changes that I recall, it has created all the devices and all the scenes, why should it NOT restore the links? I can try the restore again if you think this might help. Thanks for all your help, Lee!

The old PLM was installed last year in September. We removed both the old PLM and the old ISY when the replacement came in. I was fighting the new combination until this morning, then I changed back to the old PLM. Unfortunately I am 8 hours away from home right now, so I have to remote control my wife for all physical activity I gave her the instructions of how to do it and I believe she did it right. So yes, the ISY was unplugged when the PLM was changed.
-
Here we go. I should add that I replaced the new modem (which came with the replacement ISY) with my old one. This is the one connected now. It had 141 links when I plugged it in - this sounds reasonable. Then I did the Restore Modem (PLM) and now it only has 28 links.
-
Doesn't work... The Restore Modem (PLM) function only runs a few seconds. From what I read it should easily take an hour or more... And I have 42 devices, but I only see 28 Links in the PLM link list. There is something wrong here. Is there some special magic I could do? Is there a reset-Modem-Button or something? Or should I try "delete Modem" first and then re-run the restore? Thanks for your help, guys!

Quick update... Could not initialize the new SD-Card, so we replaced the ISY and the PLM. Restored the latest backup. Now I can see all devices and all programs. And I can switch all devices with the ISY. BUT: The Scenes don't work. I can switch them on and off, the on/off-status in the ISY changes, but in real world the devices don't do anything. Same with the programs - they seem to run, but nothing changes. Is there something I need to do to get my scenes working? If not, I can delete and re-create them...
-
I am on it right now, trying to initialize the new card. But the ISY does not let me in. Telnet connects to the iSY, asks for user and password and then Authentification fails. Is there a special password for telnet? If not, I'll simply do a factory reset... Edit: Got it, it fell back to admin/admin for some reason...
-
No. The LED was still blinkng, so I thought the new card was not recognized either. I'll cerrtainly give that a try before I replace the device. Thanks for all the advice! My question here is still: If this fails, can I swap the SD card from the old 994i to the new one?
-
Thanks, Brian. But I have a 994i and get a 994i as replacement. Still no chance?
