Yea, my UI version was not updated. After fixing that, the program problem went away. There are a few more problems, but I'll see what I can do to get things straitened out. When I'm totally out of ideas and can't find solutions elsewhere, I'll start another topic. Thanks for everyone's help.

Well, I bit the bullet and a lot of stuff doesn't work. Was I suppose to restore the 4.7.3 backup? On the Program Summary page I get a bunch of lines that say -Not Loaded- and Out of Memory. How do I get that fixed?
-
I did a backup and got this zip file: ISY-Backup.v4.7.3__Tue 2019.12.17 05.31.39 PM.zip When I unzip it, just to be nosy, I find another zip file: uuid.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.fb.zip, I inserted the x's This zip file can't be unzip'd because it's invalid, although it's 94k in length. Is that to be expected? I really don't look forward to starting over with more than 100 devices and 75 programs.

I'm using 4.7.3, guess I'll have to bite the bullet and upgrade to 5.0.16A. I understand a lot can go wrong with this upgrade. I can always go back and wait for the official if I have trouble!

Does anyone know if/when the Insteon Siren Model:2868-222 will be detected and usable by the ISY994i? The Hub seems to accept it, but you can only arm/disarm it with the Hub. I hate using the Hub when I have a perfectly useful ISY.

How often does a program run when the 'If' condition is Status? If Status 'Back Door' is On Then $iVariable1 += 1 Else $iVariable2 += 1 If the Status is 'OFF', will this run forever? Will $iVariable2 be incremented to infinity and eat up all CPU to slow the ISY to a crawl?
-
When the HUB was released, I got all taken in by the hype and expected wonderful things to happen. Now that I have one, it would be good to use it somehow. I was just hoping to use the Hub app on my wife's Iphone to allow her access to a limited number of Insteon devices. The theory was to see what she did and bring the ISY in line. I thought that an ON command sent through the lines,or via RF, was repeated throughout the house. That command should be available to something listening, a PLM maybe, then trigger an ISY program. I tend to over-think these things, but sometimes I succeed. I recall the saying LIFE: Each day work toward progress, not perfection . . . I progress a lot but perfection is slow coming.

Just a side note on this thread. I changed the OutletLinc to a Dual Outlet On/Off unit. The reason for monitoring the Outlet is to update the ISY status when the Outlet is switched on via the HUB. Just my way of having my cake and eating it too. The Program watches for Control On and then does a Query of the Outlet. Doesn't seem to work! Why doesn't the ISY see the Outlet switched on?
-
Thanks for the info. I guess I'll be switching out any plain old OutletLincs for the (2663-222) Outlets wherever I need to. Kinda seems like overkill, but the old OutletLinc units can still be used in other places. I already had to change an OutletLinc v.38 because it automagically turns off at Query time (3AM). Thanks, again.

The OutletLinc is a (2473) v.42

I need to know when an OutletLinc is turned on or off. When I try to create a program in the ISY, there is no Control statement to see when the OutletLinc is switched on. Is there something I missed, or am I out of luck.
-
Thanks everyone. I have 65 devices now so Pro is imminent. I decided to just upgrade to Pro now and skip all the hassle.

Last week I disabled the Query for two nights in a row, the OutletLinc stayed on. This morning I turned it off and then on again, just for the fun of it. I then right clicked the device and selected Query. It immediately switched off. There's no doubt as to what's happening.

Every morning I awake to ISY popup errors saying that it couldn't reach my motion sensors. I have searched this forum and others for some help. The only info I can find, indicates that I should turn off Automatic Writes to Battery Powered Devices. I can't find a way to do that. Selecting the file menu option presents the following: Sorry! I don't know how to add the PNG image, so it's attached below. It doesn't show the Automatic Writes to Battery Powered Devices or the Automatic Writes to Devices lines. The ISY994 is v.4.5.4 what am I missing?
-
Teken, thanks for the quick reply. Hate to throw away money so, as long as the OutletLinc is still (somewhat) supported, I'll use it in a setting that doesn't require being ON overnight. Since I'll retire it from its current location, I can try the reset to see if that works. I still have a few v.4.2 units in service that may have to be replaced also. I'll monitor their functionality after each ISY update to see when/if they go out of favor.

I have an OutletLinc v.39 that goes OFF during the 3AM running of the Query All program. An OutletLinc v.4.2, in the same room, stays ON. The controlling ISY994 firmware is v.4.5.4 Is this something that can be controlled, or should I just bite the bullet and replace the v.39. I can't find a like-for-like replacement, so I'll have to get a Dual On/Off Outlet. Is the OutletLinc line obsolete?

Echo doesn't trigger the 'control' condition in ISY programs
MeDoISY replied to MeDoISY's topic in Amazon Echo
Yes, that will work but, If my wife is already asleep and I come home at 10:25:00PM, the lights will come on. I know, poor baby, but you don't know my wife. I need to explore a more complex solution. Thanks. -
Echo doesn't trigger the 'control' condition in ISY programs
MeDoISY replied to MeDoISY's topic in Amazon Echo
I don't know how to insert a program, so this is a hand drawn copy: From your response, Alexa doesn't trigger Control, How else would this work? If From 9:30:00PM To 10:30:00PM (same day) And Control 'MasterBedroom / NightStands' is switched Off And Status 'Garage / GarageDoor' is On Then Set 'MasterBedroom / NightStands' Fast On Else - No Actions - -
I have a TriggerLinc, activated by a mercury switch, attached to my garage door. When the garage door is open the state of the TriggerLinc is ON. I have a simple ISY program that is triggered by turning off the bedroom light after a certain time (my bedtime). When the bedroom light (Icon Relay Switch) is switched OFF, and the status of the GarageDoor is ON, then set the bedroom light to ON. This prevents me from turning the lights off if the garage door is open. The program works perfectly if I switch the bedroom light off manually, but fails to work when Alexa turns the light off. I've tried the program with other combinations of devices, and get the same result. The state of the controlling device, bedroom light, etc., does go from ON to OFF when switched off by the Echo. Why doesn't the ISY act on the Echo initiated command? What am I doing wrong?

For the past few days, the Portal seems to partially connect. When I login to "my.isy.io/index.htm" the Portal comes up with only a green tab, on the upper left, labeled "ISY". On the far upper right there is a blue button labeled "Login". The original login window is still in the center of the screen with my user/password still populated. If I click the "Portal Login" button again, a spot on the left flashes "Updating: /api/login" and a message appears on the upper right saying "Last login: 1 minute ago. I recently added an Amazon Dot to the mix. It installed like a charm and knows everything the Echo knows. I hope the Dot isn't the problem. Is there a way to restart the Portal?
-
Since I had to disable MobiLinc, in favor of Echo, I can't figure out a way to find the status of a device while I'm away from home. Is this possible? "Alexa, what's the status of my garage door?" just doesn't work from the app.

The new (2663-222) has been added. It is in the root folder and shows an On-Off Top and an On-Off Bot. When I remove the (2473) from the folder, I then do get the replace option. But... It doesn't show the (2663-222) as a replacement. Now what?
-
I need to replace a defective OutletLinc v.42 (2473). I purchased an On/Off Outlet v.44 (2663 -222) for the replacement. Problem is, I don't see any "replace with" option when I right click the old unit. In fact, I don't see that option when I right click any device. I have an ISY994i (1120) with v.4.2.28 firmware. Do I need to upgrade to the PRO to get that function? If I do need to upgrade, what's involved besides the $30. ?
