  1. I added one of the Zen30s today. It adds fine. It shows up in the admin as a device. I can add it as a controller, but when I query it, it only shows up as a responder despite shown as a controller. When I go to physically use it as a controller it does nothing. I did reset parameter 20 to 1 but that had no impact.
  2. Zwave devices in my house always fail. There are always communication problems that I can't readily troubleshoot. I wish there was a wand z wave receiver that I could use to assess signal strength. The solution is always to add some other repeater. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would say you have 195 if statements. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Upgrading to Pro worked like a charm. Thank you. That said, I still feel like anything but a pro.
  5. Thank you. I'll work on this tonight when I get home.
  6. Hi Everyone, I can't seem to add anymore Insteon devices. Sun 06/18/2017 10:46:48 PM : [41 D7 44 ] Added to list of devices to link to ISY Sun 06/18/2017 10:46:50 PM : [41 D7 44 0 ] Using Database Link Table offset 0x0FF8 (reported 0x0FF8) Sun 06/18/2017 10:46:50 PM : [41 D7 44 0 ] Failed to add device, reason 1 It would be nice if I could find help on what "reason 1" is, but I can't. Anyone here know what "reason 1" is? Thanks.
  7. Glad to add a little humor into a thread. Still stay not intuitive even compared to assembly language on a Pdp-11. Plenty of experience here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 5x is not an option until it is released. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Perhaps. But if you want to truly dishearten a customer, you develop tools that frustrate them for hours because of something that isn't consistent with almost every programming language out there. The syntax looks more like a workaround.
  9. Old topic... but one I had to look up. Can I just say that ending a repeat loop with a repeat statement is NOT intuitive.

I just did a similar thing and created a folder for "heartbeats" so that they were all easy to find. The problem is that you look at some of these things and they lead you into believing your system isn't functioning right when it is.

Old thread, but read it out of curiosity because I have a number of these sensors. So what do folks do with the closed node... it seems like a useless distraction. Do you hide it in a folder labeled "junk not worth looking at"? What do you do?

I guess I had not thought about using manual links. Mine has been in a box for over a year. Given my recent experience with the alpha 5.X version, I'm not holding my breath. I could never get it to load my 4.x backup without making the password not functional (admin admin never worked). I'm guessing we are 6+ months out.

Don't dip your toes in that water quite yet.

Thanks Michel. It would be nice to see this function working.

Wow. This is very disappointing. I have also had this device in a box for almost an entire year. Insteon has come out with a new device.
