  1. My internet is pretty locked down, I have a juniper router (not a home router) but my automation system is only as secure as the UD portal is since my ISY calls to them and they are on the cloud. I'm not at all worried about my local network. I am however worried about the Portal.
  2. Curious, I saw today Samsung's IoT hub was hit. Does UD have it in their plan to perhaps offer 2 factor authentication sometime soon. A google report about google and their Titan key and how employees switched to 2 factor and the new key have resulted in no known phishing attack getting in. I know with all the IoT drama going on it would be something i'd feel better about. I know if someone got into my account they could destroy my house. https://www.cyberscoop.com/google-titan-security-key-2fa-anti-phishing/
  3. Ive slept 24 hours before, that's technically never getting up..
  4. I have a commercial 240v 30 amp nuova simonelli espresso machine (I own a coffee house too so I'm a coffee snob) connected to a normally off insteon load controller.. I know I can put it on a set program but some days I sleep till 6 am, other till noon, some days I never get up. It would be nice to just tell Alexia to turn something on at a specific time before I go to bed when I usually have a clue when I might rise the next day.
  5. It would be nice to tell Alexia "Turn on Espresso Machine at 7 AM" and have it all warmed up and ready for me to make my morning Latte for me when I get up. Now I have to remember to tell her to turn it on while I'm still trying to open my eyes and hope its hot enough by the time I crawl out of bed and make my way to it.
  6. Having the same issues here. I can turn stuff off but not on even though Alexia says "ok"
  7. Today I noticed that alexa can control my Trane Comfortlink thermostat, she found it by herself when I was discovering devices on my ISY.. She never saw it before, but cool! Set to a specific temperature: “Alexa, set my (thermostat name) to (72) degrees” “Alexa, set (thermostat name) temperature to (72)” “Alexa, set (thermostat name) to (72)” “Alexa, set[or raise, or lower, or change] my (thermostat name) to (72)” “Alexa, change temperature to (72)” Alexa will ask which device, say the thermostat name. “Alexa, turn temperature to (72)” Alexa will ask which device, say the thermostat name. “Alexa, raise temperature to (73)” Alexa will ask which device, say the thermostat name. Raise the temperature a set amount: “Alexa, raise[or increase] the (thermostat name) by (4) degrees” “Alexa, raise[or increase] the (thermostat name) temperature by (4) degrees” Increase the temperature by 2 degrees: “Alexa, heat my (thermostat name)” “Alexa, increase the (thermostat name) temperature” “Alexa, heat up (thermostat name)” "Alexa, make it warmer in the (thermostat name)" Lower the temperature a set amount: “Alexa, lower[or decrease] the (thermostat name) by (4) degrees” “Alexa, lower[or decrease] the (thermostat name) temperature by (4) degrees” Decrease the temperature by 2 degrees: “Alexa, lower the (thermostat name) temperature”, “Alexa, cool down (thermostat name)” “Alexa, make (thermostat name) colder”
  8. I have a suggestion (sorry bout my typing I have one finger,b roke my hands in casts) wgen adding devices to the alexa, the drop down box for my devices, can you make it so I can type in a few letters of the device into the box and it can auto fill or scroll to devicses with the typed letters.. when you have hundreds of devices it is difficult when you have one finger to scroll through and find the device your looking for. when your without hands alexa is great, so I'm forced to program her now
  9. last night I logged into my echo app after I noticed some stuff was not working, saying things were not responding. it apparently had pulled someone else's home and merged it in with mine. anyone else see anything like this? I told it to forget all and rediscover.
  10. I do have some battery opreated water sensors and maybe 15 motion sensors, they all call programs, not items directly or scines directly. How do I put a wait delay before echoing responses from my ISY? I only know how to add wait to programs.
  11. At exactly 00:00:00 EVERYTHING turnd on, lights outlets everything on full blast. Ive never had this before, Nothing in the log files at all either.
  12. Thinking of getting one, question though. I have 2 power meters, one is the utility and the other is the 13Kw solar array I have on my roof. Does the ISY allow 2 and let me make one as power generated? Also, I fond no documentation on what power meters are supported. Thanks
  13. What are my options to add more devices/links to my PLM? I appear to have maxed it out. Can I connect a USB PLM?
  14. There is a large scale DoDS attack going on. It took down a lot of Amazon AWS
  15. Read more into this section of the forum and rebooted the ISY, all went back to normal..
