  1. Thank you. I wasn't troubleshooting with voice, rather voice commands was what brought the issue to my attention. The alternate spoken words always worked flawlessly in V2. After enabling V3, Alexa has added over 20 devices and all of them are named with the alternate spoken word. In the Alexa app there no longer seems to be a place to delete or remove an old device. You can only disable it. That's OK I guess that's an Alexa thing but running discovery after deleting an alternate spoken word did remove the duplicate device completely. I will update if I find anything meaningful after more troubleshooting
  2. After receiving the V2 Amazon notice of sunset I enabled the V3 skill. I removed the V2 first. After doing this I ran device discovery. The problem I'm having is that Alexa created a new device for any alternate spoken word. What happens with numerous devices is Alexa says "A couple things share that name, which one did you want? I then repeat the same thing and she turns the light on. Looking in Alexa the only option is to disable a device and then I lose that ability. It seems there is no option to remove all devices which I thought might work if I then searched again. I did try removing the alternate for 1 device and running discovery. This worked and the duplicate device was removed. I don't want to lose that ability but it is also time consuming. I was thinking about saving my ISY data > removing everything > Alexa device discovery > restore ISY > run discovery again. I imagine many do not use alternate spoken commands but has worked flawlessly when for example someone says turn on kitchen ceiling and another says kitchen over head as an example. Anybody else run into this?
  3. Did anyone else receive an email from Amazon saying voice commands will no longer work after the 1st of November? Is there a fix for this or is getting a newer device the only option? Sorry if this is old news but I searched on here for it and did not see a post. From Amazon "We're reaching out to let you know about changes to how Alexa works with Universal Devices, Inc. devices that connect to Alexa using the ISY Optimized for Smart Home V2 Skill. The ISY Optimized for Smart Home V2 Skill uses an outdated integration that hasn't been updated by its developer to support all of Alexa’s existing and new functionality. As a result, the Universal Devices, Inc. devices you have connected using their Alexa Skill will stop working with Alexa on November 1, 2025. This means the devices will no longer work with Alexa voice requests, Routines, or the Alexa app at that time."
