Finally solved all the issues with the suggestions received here. Set all the devices to DHCP Used Address Reservation in my router to assure each device receives the same IP every time. Set port forwarding to the isy: 443 Set port forwarding to the energy monitor: 80 & 8000 (I was not able to change these) This one may need to be changed down the road when more Internet device are put in the house. Will need to contact Brultech to see how that is done. Set port forwarding to the Q-see: 85 & 6036 (This one wanted 80 but it was taken) Changed all the passwords to something more secure than default. The isy now sends notifications. I can log in remotely to the router, Q-see, Brultech energy monitor and the isy. Thanks to all for the help and suggestions. Every day is a learning experience. Some days are more frustrating than others.

Updated firmware, changed to DHCP, found and set DHCP reservations and rebooted. Now when I try to connect remotely i get the usual udajaz screen but it fails to load and open. I clicked Admin Counsel and the usual window opens but now I get a XML Parse error and a Socket open failed. If I don't click OK and dismiss the errors Java locks up my browser. The other 2 devices work fine with the reservations set up. Closed browser and went back to router, it no longer sees the isy. Need to go back to the house and see whats up. How do I connect to it if it does not appear on the router?

Really want to keep static IP as this allows remote access. It was a bit of an issue getting the isy, Q-see DVR & Brultech energy monitor all set to access remotely. I did have an issue with the isy set static xxx.xxx.1.3 during a router reboot my laptop was assigned the same IP. This made a mess of my communications until I figured it out. Set my router to start with xxx.xxx.1.25 for DHCP server to avoid any conflicts with my static IPs. Been searching the forum and found many instances of the issue but I couldn't find any real solution.

Notice something else weird, the isy time was wrong even after enabling NTP Server. When I go to another page and return it is unchecked. I don't think my isy is getting out. I am getting remotely. The attached pic is a new error when testing notifications.

Changed DNS as suggested, this test returned cannot open config file and the usual SMTP_Errors. Tried it a second time and only got the SMTP_Errors

When the isy994zw was in my house I could send notifications. It was ATT email server sent through an ATT dsl modem. The isy is now install in a house with a Charter modem. I am still using the ATT mail server, not sure if Charter blocks this. When I log in remotely something does not like the current SSL certificate. When I click Request/Manage SSL Certificates I get a page with a list of certificates and install instructions. The link: http://isy.universal-devices.com/994i/dashboard.jnlpreturns 404-Not Found? When I select "Use Default" on the Email/Notification page I get the same error with SMTP_Errors-universal-devices.mail.server? I can log into ATT email with a browser when I am at the house where the isy is installed. Any suggestions?
