Then how do explain homebridge? Apple can't stop anyone from making a software server that bridges HomeKit to other products... It's already being done... It would just be nice to have it running on the ISY instead of another computer.
I'm running it on my Mac to controle my nest with HomeKit... It works just great. There is no reason a software modulal could not be made to run on the ISY.

Couldn't some sort of software HomeKit bridge module be implemented? There are already software bridges that can run on a separate PC (homebridge, home control). Why not have something that runs like this on the ISY itself?

It amazes me how people assume that no one but them knows anything. I know exactly what HomeKit is. And I love the functionality of the isy... However it might be a bit of an overkill for me... Plus I would really like to be able to use Siri to controls devices in my home.
Plus... As I stated... I'm sick of dealing with Java.
What about the people who automatically hate everything with an apple logo on it?

Will the ISY be updated to support HomeKit?
I'm trying to decide if I want to stick with my ISY or sale it off and get the new Insteon hub. What I love about the ISY is the advanced programming abilities... But at the same time I'm getting really fed up with the Java user interface. Java is outdated and insecure... It seems like every time I want to login to my ISY I have to update Java and jump through tons of hoops. I also really want use of HomeKit.
How about Nest!
