  1. I just switched over to the EISY and i may have screwed up not sure it's been so long since I connected to Alexa or google. Not sure if its something I did or didn't do. I have two accounts on the portal one is for the old home we had years ago and it has no devices. The other portal login shows my eisy when I try to add spoken voice commands to alexa I get this error This user profile @gmail.com cannot manage this ISY. If Alexa is linked with another user profile in this account, then you can ask Alexa "Discover my devices" to reflect the changes you made in Alexa. If on the other hand Alexa is linked with this user profile and you want it to control this ISY, then click on My Profile to change the preferred ISY to this ISY. I am concerned that I tied the wrong email when I set it up is there any way to tell? or did I miss something in the setup? The discover devices just found a tv.
  2. Sorry It took so long to get back to dbuss. Yea trying that gives me a not found error in the admin console. I think I will reach out to support and see if they can't point me in the right direction.
  3. That was a excellent thought, I disabled the Windows firewall and unfortunately that didn't help. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling Java thinking the security update may have done something to the Java settings. This is maddening, however I did find a backup I did. So Maybe if I have to load it I will.
  4. I did notice a change when reloaded the JLP file from the website and it also explains why the text got large enough for me to read without glasses, but yes I have tried that one. Thanks dbuss
  5. Hi all, I am hoping can point out what I haven't thought of yet. I know its something stupid. I am unable to find the ISY on my network via the admin console / Java app. I can reach the Ajax webpage via IP and control devices, the unit works with Agave, I can reach the portal and the portal can see me. I thought it might be Java security setting so I did all the usual to Java, cleared temp files and added ISY URL to security settings. This is a new home for us and I haven’t backed up my ISY settings so I don't want to reset the ISY (yea I know). ISY and PC are plugged into the same switch. I am running Java 8 and update 181 Oh and thanks in advance!
  6. This topic has been touched on many times and there are some great examples posted. However I can't make my bedroom light only come on 50% at night. I have tried multiple variations all without success. Can somebody Please take a look at the program and tell me what I did wrong? Thanks in advance! Night Dim scene - [ID 0007][Parent 0001] If From Sunset + 2 hours and 30 minutes To 6:00:00AM (next day) Then In Scene 'Master Bedroom' Set 'MB Light' 6.5 Sec (Ramp Rate) In Scene 'Master Bedroom' Set 'MB Light' 50% (On Level) In Scene 'Master Bedroom' Set 'MB light Bath Side' 50% (On Level) Else In Scene 'Master Bedroom' Set 'MB Light' 100% (On Level)
  7. As usual, after I made the post, I figured it out.
  8. I have followed the step by step. The portal is enabled the Alexa app shows the ISY skill is enabled, however when i attempt to add the Echo to the user account thru the portal I continue to get the same skills error message. I have cleared and waited 60 seconds, 5 minutes, rebooted the ISY, Logged and re-logged into both apps a few times and I continue to get the same error. Any one have any thoughts? The ISY skill is not linked to your portal user profile. Please go to your echo app, enable the ISY skill, and link the skill with this user profile.
  9. There is no fan speed control with current setup. I looked at the keypadlincs it just seems like overkill. There was one post somewhere that mentioned double taps to a switchlinc, but I can't find it. I am also not sure how well something like that can work.
  10. I have a fan and lamp both controlled from one wall switch using X10 that I would like to switch to insteon. These switches are in my kids rooms. The Leviton two scene switches send on and off command to a x10 outlet or inline x10 module. I have been slowly migrating my x10 stuff to insteon but some devices are more difficult to migrate. I have looked at the Fanlinc and the reviews on how it controls the motor make me reluctant to purchase. I had hoped the remotelinc might be a solution but I never liked the idea of having to change batteries. any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated and welcome.
  11. Can anyone tell me what the attached JPG event viewer entries mean. Thanks
  12. Well after poking around I decided to try Nsteins App ISY Ajax and to be honest its an improvement over what I had so I am going to convert to that. It does give me control over my x10 devices. Although I would love to know what I did. Michel..... I am sure your got better things to do thanks for trying.
  13. This is how it looked before
  14. Michel thanks for the reply. Its actually a 404 error. User ID and Pass work..
  15. Many months ago someone posted a neat web interface for the isy which they shared. I have used that interface for my ISY for many months with no issues. While I am knowledgeable enough to edit some HTML and make it work for me I can't seem to fix what’s wrong with it now. I am hoping one of you guys might steer me to a solution. When I log on to my ISY's IP I get this The files that I load on the webserver are located here: http://www.gigasize.com/get.php?d=2j2ygxo49zf I have compared all my HTML files that I edited as I was getting to the final look and can't find anything different. I also loaded the original authors creation (I think) and still can't get it to work. I can't figure out what’s gone wrong. This interface is not perfect but it works on my android and shows all my X-10 devices. Which is something some of the other solutions out there don’t do? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
  16. I email'd support about this thread and they were GREAT as always. They suggested I start to organize the programs I had in my ISY into managable folders. So the next day was busy breaking out folders and tidying up the programming. While doing this I noticed my log was showing a M command being repeated over and over. So I went and cut power at the breaker for my POOL pump which has a ELK Ultramate 9100 connected to it. I have two of these one at the hot water heater and one at the pool pump. After cutting the power I returned to look at the event viewer and the M command repeating had quit. At that point the Herald Angels Sung so I left the breaker off all night and did not have any repeating signals. The next morning I went and moved the jumper for the Ultramate that turns off the repeater. The repeating function is on by default so maybe having two of them caused some sort of loop. So with this simple action all was fixed. I still have errant x10 signals going off whenever some insteon devices goes off or its status is checked but thats a problem for another day.
  17. There are no repeaters. I do have two ElK 9100's which control my pool pump and my Hot water heater. I am not sure though if the repeater function is even on, though it is one thing I can look at. I have two of the Insteon Access points in the house for the thermostats and the 4 or 5 insteon switches I have replaced. There is nothing on housecode A M is master bedroom K is kitchen B is my sons room G is my daughters room & garage O is outside lights C16 is Pool Pump H5 is Hot water heater F is Foyer light H1 and H2 are upstairs and downstairs Hall lights thats all I can think of off the top of my head I think some of the Insteon devices are also sending x10 when they are shut off? Here are the logs from this morning and the event viewer log http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=27e12aa89ec3aa13d1014a7a667fa2b4e04e75f6e8ebb871
  18. I have a problem that has been occurring for months now and I have been trouble shooting this whenever I can. At one time I thought I had figured it out by removing my WGL whole house Transceiver but, that wasn’t it. Periodically I have been getting a barrage of x10 signals that show up in the log. Obviously when these are occurring normal signals don't go thru. These signals are never the same house code but for the burst that is occurring. There are some patterns I have found, but nothing noticeable. My house has been on x10 for years and luckily I have had very few problems. With signal strength or noise. Not to say that it wasn’t happening it just wasn’t apparent. As it is I have everything running off my ISY. The interface between the ISY and the ELK I tried to work with but because my system is both x10 and Insteon. I couldn't make use of the import feature. I have old switchlincs and some 2 and 4 button Leviton switches. There are a lot of ISY routines that run off IR from MX-950 Home Theater Master remote I have a link of my log if that will help. I would love to solve this as it does not make the wife happy when the fan won't come on because the system is sending the codes over and over. Any suggestions comments ideas are welcome as I have disabled devices, Replaced devices, and beaten my head on a few devices. Then waited day/weeks (depending on when I had time) ran the log and still get these random bursts. Thanks in Advance Here is the log http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=27e12aa89ec3aa13d1014a7a667fa2b41a76e24d85b2cf87ce018c8114394287
  19. Well that did the trick. Thanks for telling me how to do the reset. I have toooo Many boxes from smarthome . I had already done a cross ship replacement for the PLM. So i will exchange it anyway for peace of mind. THanks again for all your help.
  20. I can't get any devices to respond no matter how close they are. Can the PLM units get reset? I unplugged the unit for about a minute then plugged it back in. Does that count as rebooting or do you need to hold the reset switch down?
  21. I have suddenly had my ISY stop issuing commands. I am thinking it’s the PLM but I am not sure. If I look to tools PLM status it shows connected however when the home page boots up it can't find any of my insteon devices and no commands are going out over the power line. If I issue an IR command I can see the reception of the command in the log. Is there anything I can check that will verify that it's the PLM and not some other issue? Any advice is much appreciated Chris
