Thanks for the followup. I think my SD card may be slightly corrupt. However, starting over with a new SD card will put my polyglot cloud Nest server at risk. I will have to live with the limited devices until hopefully Google and ISY start working together nicely again.

Thanks. I didn't notice that. Will reach out to Michel.

I changed my program to fast on/off for the scene with a 2 second delay and didn't see much of a change . From the Event Viewer I see that the program sends one command and then there are a bunch of acknowledgements....which I think is what is causing the problem when I add more devices. Once I get over 11 devices, the lights will blink for no more than 20-30 seconds before the ISY gets overwhelmed and the lights start blinking sporadically (or not at all).

Thanks for the replies everyone. I have now eliminated the folder conditions and left it as just the program which seems to work well. For example for my downstairs random lights: =================================================================================== Armed Away Security Lights - [ID 0215][Parent 0001] Folder Conditions for 'Armed Away Security Lights' If - No Conditions - (To add one, press 'Schedule' or 'Condition') Then Allow the programs in this folder to run. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Downstairs Hallway Lights - [ID 021C][Parent 0215] If Elk Area 'Home' 'Armed State' is Armed Away And From Sunset - 1 hour To Sunrise + 1 hour (next day) Then Repeat Every 0 seconds Set 'Downstairs Hallway' Off Wait 39 minutes Wait 21 minutes (Random) Set 'Downstairs Hallway' On Wait 4 minutes and 19 seconds Wait 42 minutes (Random) Else Set 'Downstairs Hallway' Off I still am unable to get lights to blink well. For example, I created a scene burglar alarm which has all the lights in the house. However, since this scene has 77 devices it does not work well at all. I created another "Downstairs Lights" scene with 35 devices but this also doesn't work well (needs over 20 second interval). I can get the Outside Lights scene to work with 14 devices but not on an interval less than 3 seconds. The best I can do is use the front lights on my house (11 devices) on 2 second intervals. When I add more devices for other lights it delays the blink and seems to overload the system after a few seconds. Has anyone been able to successfully been able to get a larger number of devices to blink faster or is this just a communication limitation with a large number of devices? Bedroom Blink Test - [ID 022B][Parent 0001] If - No Conditions - (To add one, press 'Schedule' or 'Condition') Then Repeat Every 2 seconds Set 'Burglar Strobe Lights' On Wait 2 seconds Set 'Burglar Stobe Lights' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

So I got the random lights to turn on with the program above by removing the time based criteria on the folder. Thank you! Unfortunately, the light blinking doesn’t work for a burglar alarm event. .I’m not sure if I have too many devices that I’m trying to strobe or not...lights blink once or twice and then stop while the system is busy. I can get outside lights (3 lights on 3 second intervals only...nothing faster). I will play with a smaller subset of lights to see if that works better (I.e., lights visible from the street). Thanks!

That's a good question. I separated them for a burglar alarm under Alarm Stay but for the Alarm Away I will consolidate them all into a "Security Lights Scene"
-
I will make "Elk Armed State = Armed Away" the sole condition for the folder and then leave either sunset-1 to sunrise+1 or burglar alarm as the sole conditions for the programs. I will also try consolidating devices to 3 scenes (outside, downstairs, and upstairs lights) to avoid communication errors. Will revert back tonight to see if this works. Thank you!

Similarly I'm trying to get lights to blink in the event of a burglar alarm but this is also not working. =================================================================================== Armed Away Burglar Alarm - [ID 0225][Parent 0001] Folder Conditions for 'Armed Away Burglar Alarm' If Elk Area 'Home' 'Armed State' is Armed Away Then Allow the programs in this folder to run. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alarm Away Burglar Alarm - Downstairs Inside Lights - [ID 021F][Parent 0225] If Elk Area 'Home' 'Alarm State' is Burglar Alarm Then Repeat Every 0 seconds Set 'Downstairs Hallway' On Set 'Kitchen' On Set 'Main Stairs' On Wait 1 second Set 'Downstairs Hallway' Off Set 'Kitchen' Off Set 'Main Stairs' Off Wait 1 second Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alarm Away Burglar Alarm - Outside Lights - [ID 01D5][Parent 0225] If Elk Area 'Home' 'Alarm State' is Burglar Alarm Then Repeat Every 0 seconds Set 'Front Porch' On Set 'Roof Deck' On Set 'Garage Light' On Wait 1 second Set 'Front Porch' Off Set 'Roof Deck' Off Set 'Garage Light' Off Wait 1 second Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

I'm trying to setup a few programs to run random lights if my Elk alarm is armed away. I set the folder condition to run from sunset to sunrise if the alarm is armed away but the programs in the folder aren't executing. The folder condition shows as true but the programs don't automatically run. Any ideas on how to get this to work? I'm running v 5.0.14 =================================================================================== Armed Away Security Lights - [ID 0215][Parent 0001] Folder Conditions for 'Armed Away Security Lights' If Elk Area 'Home' 'Armed State' is Armed Away Then Allow the programs in this folder to run. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Downstairs Hallway Lights - [ID 021C][Parent 0215] If From Sunset - 1 hour To Sunrise + 1 hour (next day) Then Repeat Every 0 seconds Set 'Downstairs Hallway' Off Wait 39 minutes Wait 21 minutes (Random) Set 'Downstairs Hallway' On Wait 4 minutes and 19 seconds Wait 42 minutes (Random) Else Set 'Downstairs Hallway' Off ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Outside Lights - [ID 0216][Parent 0215] If From Sunset - 1 hour To Sunrise + 1 hour (next day) Then Set 'Front Porch' On Set 'Garage Entry' On Set 'Floodlights' On Set 'Roof Deck' On Else Set 'Front Porch' Off Set 'Garage Entry' Off Set 'Floodlights' Off Set 'Roof Deck' Off

Definitely don't have MobiLinc Connect.

Upgraded to 5.0.14 and everything seemed to be working fine. I rebooted the ISY today and I can no longer access it from the ISY portal or polygot cloud. The ISY shows as an X. I can log into the admin panel and access it through Mobilinc fine. Any ideas on what to try? Thanks.

Hahahaha. Sub accounts sound like the way to go...or I guess I can add some skills instead of using devices for some things in my setup. I will have to see what's easiest. My device count is being driven by a ton of programs with various network resources for my lighting, thermostats, directv, roku, sonos, multi zone receivers, and other various A/V equipment running through the ISY. Works great...until I ran out of devices...
-
Has anybody discovered how to expand Smart Home devices above 302? Is the only workaround subaccounts (i.e., first, second, third floor, etc...)? Is there anyway to copy devices out of the main account or is it necessary to recreate them all? Thanks.

I have 5 Echo Dots and they have all been working great. However, all of a sudden tonight every command gets a "that command doesn't work on device X" Communication with the ISY seems fine (portal shows it's online, I can run the programs from my phone and they still all work, no other changes have been made to the system). The only thing I notice is when I go into my Alexa app and discover devices I see 25 devices that I don't recognize when sorted by newest. They appear to have spanish names...I have no idea what or where these devices are from. When I delete them, they reappear. Any ideas what's going on or what I can try?

How To Guide: Getting Alexa to provide verbal responses

This is a great write up! I'm still a bit confused - how do you setup the variable for temperature? Can you share the example program you are using to populate State Variable #17 with the temperature of your Insteon thermostat. Thanks! -
Great. I will send it off shortly. The file on the wiki only has the on/off commands for the various zones. I added volume up/down/mute and source selection for each zone based on the Russound protocol.
-
Is there a way to upload the full set of Russound network resources for the CAV/CAM for the wiki? I added all the volume, mute, and source commands if someone needs them in the future. I also have a spreadsheet similar to majorlance's for converting the hex commands for the ISY that people could potentially find useful in the future for other Russound commands. I found that the Russound commands found in version 1.00.07 of the Russound documentation work...earlier versions did not.

Sorry...dumb question but what do you mean by delete the direct link? I believe the only link is the Scene with Motion Sensor as controller and Light as responder.
-
Thanks. I couldn't figure out how to paste the programs in...saves a bit of typing and hopefully clears things up a bit. I was able to adjust the scene adjustment like suggested above but after I turn the switch on any subsequent motion ramps the light back down. I'm guessing a work around would be to disable the motion program for a period of time after the switch is pressed...isn't there a better way? I see the adjust scene with 2 drop down. However, I don't have the option of choosing Adjust Switchlinc in the Scene Name drop down. I only have the option of other switches or scenes. I'm only trying to control 1 Scene (Bathroom Light) which is made up of the MS and Switchlinc. Thanks!
-
Thanks for all the suggestions. I tried all of the above. However, I wasn't able to get the option to add In Scene Switchlinc Set Switchlinc (the Switchlinc didn't show up in the list) I tried adding: In Scene Bathroom Light Set Switchlinc That would work at first for the switch override but any subsequent motion would reset the light at the lower 30% level.

I've been banging my head against the wall trying to get motion sensors to work in the bathroom. I'm trying to accomplish the following: 1) Daytime - turn on 100% with fast ramp based on motion and time out after no motion 2) Nighttime - turn on 30% with slow ramp based on motion and time out after no motion 3) Turn off if switch turned off 4) Ramp up light to 100% at night if switch pressed and turn off via switch or time out after no motion, reset to 30% until sunrise I'm struggling with the nighttime slow ramp and lower light and the ramp up override from the switch. Initially when you walk in the room at night, you get a slow ramp set to 30% but on the next detection of motion, the light is turned on to 100% (scene resets to 100% with 0.1 ramp rate). Not sure why. Any thoughts? I have the following: MS - set to always on + sensing mode Bathroom Light Scene - MS controller, Switchlinc responder Motion Program: If Control MS-Sensor is switched on Then Set Scene Bathroom Light On Wait 1 min Set Scene Bathroom Light Off Switch Off Override Program: If Control Switchlinc is switched Off or Fast Off Then Disable Motion Program Set Scene Bathroom Light Off Wait 10 sec Enable Motion Program Night Ramp Rate Program: If 10pm-Sunrise (next day) Then In Scene MS-Sensor Set Switchlinc 30% (On Level) In Scene MS-Sensor Set Switchlinc 4.5 Sec (Ramp Rate) Else In Scene MS-Sensor Set Switchlinc 100% (On Level) In Scene MS-Sensor Set Switchlinc 0.1 Sec (Ramp Rate) Switch On Override Program: If Control Switchlinc is switched On or Fast On AND Status Switchlinc > Off Then In Scene MS-Sensor Set Switchlinc 100% (On Level) In Scene MS-Sensor Set Switchlinc 0.1 Sec (Ramp Rate) Set Scene Bathroom Light On
