  1. Reinstalling the isy package via: sudo pkg install -f isy resolved the issue.
  2. I tried the power button reset Michel suggested (press and hold power until red, press again for blue), and still have the issue.
  3. Just upgraded to 5.9.1 on my eisy. Didn't come back up on portal and can't log in. shelled into eisy and /var/log/messages contains a loop of: Mar 16 12:39:32 eisy kernel: pid 18030 (isy-freebsd-x64), jid 0, uid 349: exited on signal 11 (core dumped). OS appears to be successfully updated to: FreeBSD eisy 14.1-RELEASE-p6 FreeBSD 14.1-RELEASE-p6 #4
  4. This resolved it. I had just upgraded to 3.1.26 about 10 days ago when I installed my eisy and had that in my notes. I should checked for an update before posting. Thanks for your help.
  5. Having issues (similar to XCalibur on May 3rd). I purchased WeatherFlow from the store. When I go to install it, the installation flow never gets me to a place where I can pick a slot and install. I've tried rebooting twice, which seemed to fix things in the other thread, without any success. Here's what the flow looks like for me: I select (Re)install, that brings up the following: When I select update, I simply get a "Cancel" button in the UI.
  6. Just wanted to post a final followup to this thread. I purchased another Sabrent USB to RS-232 dongle, (the same model which came with the serial kit). I plugged this into the eisy to try and definitively determine if it was the hardware. The new Sabrent works fine. Bottom line, the dongle which came with the original kit was bad.
  7. Michel, I tried it and it doesn't work. It shows up in usbconfig but a "pstat -t" shows the device as not opened. Do you want me to return the device or just toss it?
  8. Hi Michel, Yes, Insteon Support was checked in Configuration. I had an Ableconn USB to Serial dongle with PL2303HXD chipset handy so I plugged that in and rebooted. It's all working now. I can switch back to the supplied adapter and gather some info, or let you remote in, if you'd like, but perhaps it was just a bad adapter.
  9. Yes, I've run "Upgrade Packages" so I'm up to 5.6.0. Just tried the restart procedure you've suggested with no luck. I've also tried a spare PLM. I'll find the pinouts and ensure it's wired correctly but the DB9 to RJ connector and cable are what came with the serial kit I just received so I wouldn't think I'd need to fiddle around with that.
  10. SSH -> sudo shutdown now pstat -t finds a serial port at /dev/cuaU0 so I'm pretty sure the hardware is seeing it.
  11. Just received my new eisy with the serial PLM adapter kit. Installed, upgraded, and restored ISY-994 backup. PLM doesn't show up. Tools-Configuration->PLM Status shows: "0 0 0 v0 / Not Connected". The blue light in the USB to Serial adapter is lit up. I used the blue cable that was included in the serial kit to go from the adapter to the PLM and plugged the adapter into the USB on the back of the eisy. I've looked at the posts of others who have had a problem and checked to ensure I have Insteon support selected and I've rebooted the eisy several times. No luck.
