Thank you for helping. But unfortunately, that did not help. The parameter was originally empty, tried -Xm512m and same thing, I even tried -Xmx, -Xmx1024m and these caused the java app to crash. But looking on my activity monitor it is only taking up 300mb of memory and room to spare DOES IT matter that I am on ISY 4.8.0, probably not the latest firmware Similarly when I pull up the Dashboard, it just hangs with spinning ball. With Admin Console, I get a couple tabs other tab but the active tab its Autheticate ISY but can't enter password due to hang,

Thanks, that makes sense, I am getting the same results, seems like I was using the same java, but the launcher is only a different interface, but even using the launcher method, I am getting the same hanging and noticed it loads on my CPU.. I tried troubleshooting the JAVA even including all the steps of shutting down apps, and widgets that may interfere such as those applets in the accessiblilty and even shutting down all non-apple top menu bar quick access applets. The only time I was able to get in early is launching it and leaving the computer alone for like 10 min and coming back to it. I guess I will try that now..I even tried restarting...but given all the discussion on similar issues, it seems pretty obvious we should maybe look to get away from using JAVA. Don't know if that is even possible. But seems like the life of ISY would be limited if it has to be dependent on JAVA especially given MS windows share seems to be dwindling..

Can you be more specific, the link specifically points to replacing PLM, I assume you were not referring to that. "ISY Launcher" you be more specific. The pictures at the top of the web page is what I want, yes, I was able to access that using the JAVA about an hour after waiting for a long time for JAVA to respond, but now I can't log back in to make a simple change to my programs..due to the Java launcher hanging!

It has been a while that I have touched my ISY, but occasionally want to update parameters, so due to lack of regular use. What is the best way of connecting to admin console on MacOS. Previously I clicked on the Admin.jnlp but it is very sporadic and mostly just hangs!! at the authentication where I can't enter my id and password as it is mostly just in hang mode, I noticed then my CPU Fan cranks up. I read a lot issues with it, but is what I am going through normal on MacOS?? What is your suggestion or simplest procedure to login into the Admin console on MACOS? Also Noticed it behaves differently on Chrome vs Safari, which is the recommended browser to access portal or is it necessary, just direct use of the JAVA?

Well it seems like my old 2486D has gone out and needs to be replaced. I was using it as a 8 button with primary control as dimmer to kitchen lights. Seems like there are discontinued. Can anybody make any sense of this, now ISY seems to be working did a whole system restore still only having problem with 0F.C0.6A, tried restore to device same thing. Any ideas?

mwester: I think you are right, I was finally able to remove it from ISY by restarting ISY, but when I try to relink it, the response came back at V.00 cannot determine Insteon engine. So I think maybe the firmware is wiped out. I will play with it a bit, really don't want to do rewiring, but looks like I might have to reorder one.. Thanks

HI all, I have not touched my setup for a coupe years, so out of practice. Today found my main wall switch keypad 2486 that is not working. I looked on my iSy and it has exclamation marks next to all 8 buttons. I tried all types of of commands of restore, update and delete, nothing. Did a factory reset and originally just button one would work, now when when I do a factory reset on the with, it come up all off, as soon as I push button 1, then it the light turns on but will not go off. All the linked other switches are not commanding this main keypad. I also can not remove the device from my isy. Does not seem to respond to anything on ISy. I am guessing the keypad is bad, but wanted to check the forum before I buy another one and do the rewiring. Wondering if I am not doing some resetting correctly. What is the proper factory reset with ISY as I can't see to remove the 2486D from my ISY dashboard, what do I do to remove it if I do end up replacing it. Thanks

I am getting confused with the intergration of Insteon, ISY and MobiLinc and now Echo. I previously had everything working with MobiLinc Module installed and working to control insteon with IOS MobiLinc app. However, now trying to integrate Echo Voice control with the system and getting confused as what is necessary. from what I read, I guess either through ISY Smarthome Skills OR MobiLinc Skill. Seems like the two can not co-exist (pls confirm if true). Question: 1) If I use Mobilinc Skill, do I need Mobilinc Subscription? It seems kinda costly to simply enable voice for $30 per year. Is there a way around this. 2) If using Smarthome Skill, I need to enable internet access, and it will not work. Is it because I lack a certificate? 3) To enable smarthome skill, apparently, I need to diconnect from the Mobilinc Module. Does this break the operation of the Mobilinc Pro ios app to control the Insteon.? Basically, what is the easiest method to do echo integration with ISY, and hopefully you dont have to pay yearly subscription, and what are the differences between the two methods. Advantages and disadvantages of both methods? Thanks

Hi guys, I have a 2411T insteon IR transmitter Rev 1.05 that I finally got around to playing around with. I am a little confused how to set it up as sometimes it works but other times not with my Phillips TV on/off Questions: 1) Does this rev 1.05 work with ISY latest? as I read some old posts that there were incompatibility issues, is this solved and can it work with this rev? 2) when device is added to my ISY, it shows 16 devices or IDs. So when I program the ir codes and tap the set button to test the IR code, how do I know which one it is being called? So is there only 1 "code" or 16 of them that can be addressed and called, and how to I target an individual one? 3) on the ISY programs, the options for the 2411T are different duration beeps, what does this mean? Any help would be appreciated, i feel like I am missing some info that I am not getting from the manuals Thanks

Hi Guys, I have tried everything and no dice. I did try Keep and remove the "/" in the path Encoded URL, no encoded Timeout all up to 10000 and used your authorization and also set my own password and with no password. All the variation did not work. However, in the latest software, I was able to just set it on the computer to sleep after a time of no activity, which makes it automatic, which is essentially I wanted it to do to save the stress on the computer and electricity. So it is late, I have to give up, but either way, huddadudda it was a good fine, as I can sleep my computer automatically eventhough it is frustrating not getting it to work with ISY. I will be following this post as I hate having an unsolved problem. Thanks again guys
