I submitted a ticket.

I have lock edits set in UD Mobile on a family iPad. I've replaced some devices and want to update the iPad user experience, which I have done successfully in the past. However, when I go to global user preferences to unlock, Lock Edits says "False." When I click it I get "Error Could not get preference list." I cannot tell you what app version I have installed because, well, locked. There are no outstanding AppStore app updates. Suggestions?

Back up and running. Re "safe": nothing was screwed up other than the off-line issue. Support had me up and running quickly and simply. (Highly recommend NOT installing packages late on a Friday.) SRS out.

Roger that. No goofing here. Was just trying to determine if ssh connection possible. Ticket rules.
-
Thank you for the read. I had skimmed through that and related. I think a ticket is the ticket. I did submit one on Friday #26592. I just thought I'd try connecting via ssh just to see if I could. I replied YES to the ssh question and received: ssh_dispatch_run_fatal: Connection to [IP addr] port 22: Unknown error

I read someplace on this forum that I should try to connect using ssh. I found a discussion of how to do that via the Windows command prompt and I receive the message "The authenticity of host [IP address] can't be established... Are you sure you want to continue connecting?" Am I sure? FYI the UD Mobile error message is "Error. Connection Type: oAuthPortal. 03 Controller not online or not communicating with Universal Devices Portal... Try reboot." I did try reboot... It seems connected to my network, see ssh post prior.

I shall. Thank you.

I purchased eisy with zwave dongle May 2024 and migrated from isy. All well. Today the admin console notified me of available package updates. I clicked on the button to upgrade packages. I received 3 notifications of upgrade in progress then nothing for over 30 minutes. I logged out of admin console and tried to reconnect but Eisy not found. I tried adding http://192.... discovered using arp -a. Eisy not found. UD Mobile reports offline. I single-clicked the multi-function button on the eisy thinking it just needed a nudge. Nothing. After an hour since start, I powered down, unplugged, counted to 30, and plugged back in. Power button turned from red to green. But still offline. I cannot view logs through the portal because, well, offline. Am I going to have to do a hard reset and reload everything? I do have a recent backup so it would be the very end of the world but if there are other ideas I'm all ears.

That's what I have as well, same Honeywell ZWave experience. Yeah, I've had no problem from UD Mobile (nor from the Alexa integration) and, in fact, now that I have that all up and running I've forgotten to go back and see if I still have the issue in the admin console.

The update came through and fixed the issue. Thank you!

Thank you! I'll let you know...

I don't see an update available yet through the App Store (iPhone). I guess I can't unlock until it's available? (Right now, clicking on the Home Tab top menu just tells me I'm locked and to go to the Settings tab.)
-
I had set a lock on edits via Global User Preferences in the Settings tab. Now I want to unlock but the only option displayed in the Settings tab is Systems. That's it. Should I just re-install UD Mobile and, if so, any tricks/tips to ensure I don't delete everything in the process?

Aha! "Display Status." Thank you.

Q: In customizing thermostat displays, it appears I'm only able to set a user mapped value for Current Temperature, not for any of the other properties (such as Mode). Is this a UD Mobile constraint or a characteristic of my thermostat? Am I missing something (likely as I'm a newbie)?
-
FYI, lots more customizations than I realized. I think I can make this work even for family members. Mobilinc was simpler; UD Mobile infinitely customizable == work. Once I'm there, though, I expect it to hum along.

Completed migration of most z-wave devices from isy994i to eisy. I'm getting odd behavior controlling the z-wave thermostats: - admin console happily queries thermostats - admin console will not change mode, temp, etc. of any z-wave thermostat (BUT, it will turn my z-wave outlet(s) on/off) - HD mobile will change mode, temp, etc., then admin console happily displays result - Alexa connectivity also will let me control thermostats Is this expected behavior of admin console? Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks, both, for the ideas. And Javi for the laugh.

Yes, I've customized favorites but that doesn't keep the user from going "Home." I didn't see the import/export of settings, though, so I'll definitely use that. Thanks.

I've almost finished migrating from ISY994i to eisy, incl z-wave and Alexa integration. So far so good, and UD Mobile is, um, quite extensive. However, I now need to migrate the UI for the family on their devices where it is dangerous to give them full control over UD Mobile options. Yes, I can customize favorites but... Mobilinc did allow me to hide complexity in a way that uninterested family members were not tempted to play with. I've read the on-line user guide for UD Mobile but am not finding the type of customization I want. Is there a way to create a user on my portal account that, upon UD mobile login, gets a non-admin subset of functionality? Or... something? What do others do?
-
Ignore for now. Connecting UD Mobile. Hoping to be able to import Alexa integration but we'll see.

With my isy994i, which I am finally migrating off of, I was using MobiLinc with Alexa integration. I tried to follow the migration instructions for migrating my Alexa integration but since I was using MobiLinc, not ISY Portal, the Portal migration says there is nothing to migrate. I'll keep muddling through to try to link MobiLinc to my new eisy but would take any words of advice before I waste too much time.

Finally migrating from isy994i (ZWPro/IR) kit #12241DB) purchased (I am shocked to find) 2016. New eisy + UD USB ZWave dongle (both received today) admin console launched using IoX launcher showed ZWave config set to "auto" rather than just being a check box as migration instructions say, so I left it. Updated packages, rebooted... Restored from my backed up isy file (having first backed up ZWave then the isy994i). Insteon restored fine, no ZWave restored. Went to drop-down menu but it said ZWave not enabled tho config still said "auto." So I changed it to "on." Saved. Rebooted. Went to drop-down menu for ZWave, looked normal. Re-initiated the re-install from backup. Same result: no ZWave. Am I guessing correctly that my ZWave board in my 994i that I have never upgraded was an old board, not the required 500? So, I'll have to redo all my ZWave devices instead of migrating them? Other ideas? In the short term, can I just plug in my 994i and use that to manage my ZWave devices (tho obviously no program integration with Insteon) till I tackle this problem?

Mobilinc Disconnected. Attempting to reconnect to ISY
SRS replied to BigEfromDaBx's topic in MobiLinc
TrojanHorse: I’m using a Netgear Nighthawk. I’m using DHCP and the issues (appearing fully resolved as of my last post) occurred on LAN and WAN. I have but a single ISY. At this point I’m assuming the issue was related to Wes’ post, “network routing issue with our provider.” My setup is so very simple compared to many of you and I rarely have the types of issues posted here. Just to touch on other recent posts in this thread: I have had no impact on my Dashboard, etc., thank goodness! Not working ---> Working.
