  1. I went through the same thing when I added a second Echo. It should be made clear that a sub-account is only needed if you want the different Echoes to respond differently with the same commands. I don't have a problem with adding defining words to all of my lighting. When my Dot arrives, I'll just add it to the main account.
  2. So I've got a new ISY 994i with the Elk module. In ISY I can see the alarm settings, and the thermostat I have connected to the Elk alarm. For some reason, I expected (with version 2) to be able to see those devices in the ISY portal and expose those to my Echoes, just like any of the Insteon switches I have. That is not the case. So only thermostats connected to the ISY can be controlled by Echo? Or is this something coming in the future?
  3. I'll answer this myself - I told the new echo to switch accounts. It is now using the original isy portal account and working exactly as I want.
  4. I've only had the Izy for about a month, and never changed the email address in that time. I have reset the password to the forums - but that has nothing to do with the Izy (or Izy Portal) logon, correct?
  5. Now I'm wondering if I even need to do this. I want both Echoes to work identically - same list of devices. I see other users that have three echoes connected to one Amazon account, one portal. THAT sounds like what I want! The wiki makes it sound like I MUST have two Amazon accounts and two Portal users for the second Echo to work. Is that true or not?
  6. Echo will not accept a 'Set' command for a scene, however. It does allow turn on, off, brighten and dim for scenes. From what I can tell, only an individual dimmer will accept "Set XXX light to 50%". I have a 4-way switch with three 2477D dimmers, one of which is actually controlling the light. They are combined in a scene, and work correctly - all control the light and the other two dimmers. If I add the scene to Echo, I can only turn on, turn off, brighten and dim (about 1% a command by the way - pretty useless). If I add one of the dimmers that are NOT physically powering the light, only that dimmer will respond to the command, but the actual dimmer will not. If I only add the dimmer that is powering the light, I can then say 'Set XXX light to 52%" and the light will be set to 52%. The other two dimmers in the scene will not show that setting however - they remain at whatever the scene was set to locally. As soon as I use any of the dimmers in the scene locally, they sync.
  7. I've checked both the Main account and the sub-account emails, and there is nothing from UI sales. If I try to logon to the portal with the sub-account, it tells me that the email is not verified, and it SAYS it will send an email and follow those instructions. I've tried this multiple times, and no email in either account. I just logged in as Admin with original account. Under new user, I've replaced the password. Is that what you mean by reset? Again, no emails and it still shows not verified.
  8. I'm trying to set up a second Echo. I've linked it to a different Amazon account, added the skill to the Echo, approved it in the Isy, and I see my devices in the under the added account in the portal. The Echo cannot discover any devices. All looks correct, except for an 'Email is not verified' flag on the new user. How can I fix that?
