Thank you, Brian. It appears that the device is inconsistent when linking. It linked one time in four after several resets. But the best I can do is get all the buttons working except for #1! I'll wait to see if Smarthome wants to replace it. Thanks for taking the time to help!

I have a new RemoteLinc that ISY finds and adds what appears to be a valid Insteon address to the network using the "Linc a Remotelinc" funtion but with the individual addresses in magenta, instead of blue like my lamplinc. When I click on one of the addresses the "Current State" field has nothing in it. Am I doing something wrong or what? I looked at the log file but none of the entries have the Insteon address that shows on the screen. Help I'm confused and don't know how to diagnose! OK an update - only the top left button doesn't work on the remote! All the other buttons are working! The "state" field stays blank until the first time the button is pressed but button #1 just doesn't respond. Do I have a bad remotelinc?
