  1. I have a scene set up called Good Night that I always activate through Alexa. I just got a Yale Z wave door lock and want to set it so that it locks with the Good Night scene. But when adding it there doesn't seem to be a way to set it's status. I tried a program but you can't use a scene to trigger a program. So I'm having a hard time conceiving how I would accomplish this. Any help is appreciated.
  2. Long story short I had a power surge at the house that took out quite a few devices in my network (PLM, router, security NVR, etc). While replacing the damaged stuff I decided to make some changes to the 4 KPLs in the house by rearranging and adding new buttons so they are more useful. I deleted all scenes and programs from my ISY and started from scratch. Now that I have redone all the programming I'm having several issues. Seems like a mix of what the buttons used to do and what it's programmed to do now. Do I need to go through and reset all the insteon switches, fanlincs, and KPLs?
  3. I finally figured it out but I don't really understand why it was a problem. I went into the web portal and changed the spoken from "Living room fan (speed)" to "Ceiling fan (speed)" and "Bedroom fan (speed)" to "Master fan (speed)" and now all speeds on all fanlincs work correctly. They are the exact same settings and scenes as before, just the spoken is different. I have "living room lights" and "bedroom lights" spokens and those work fine so I don't understand why those same phrases caused a problem with the fanlincs.
  4. Exactly. I set up each of the three FanLincs the same. Each spoken links to the scene I have set up in the ISY for each speed. Those scenes work perfectly if I press the button on the fanlinc itself or if I activate it through Mobilinc. With Alexa the office works perfectly every time but with the living room and bedroom: Alexa turn on Bedroom Fan Low - Works fine Alexa turn on Bedroom Fan Medium - Turns off the fan Alexa turn on Bedroom Fan High - Turns off the fan Alexa turn off Bedroom Fan - Works fine Alexa turn on Living room Fan Low - Turns off the fan Alexa turn on Living room Fan Medium - Turns off the fan Alexa turn on Living room Fan High - Works fine Alexa turn off Living room Fan - Works fine The thing that confuses me is that I have also tried creating separate scenes specifically for Alexa, creating programs that activate the scenes, and creating programs that activate the device and everything I try gets the exact same result. Every time I try something new I "forget all devices" and import the new list. I just don't understand where the issue is.
  5. Got a new Echo Dot 2 yesterday and have it set up to run all my devices perfectly....except for my fanlincs. I have 3 fanlincs, the office, living room, and bedroom. I programmed all with "Turn on office fan low", etc with a different command for each speed and off. Here's the weirdness...All 4 speeds in the office work flawlessly but in the living room only High and OFF work (low and medium also turn the fan off) and in the bedroom only Low and OFF work (medium and high also turn the fan off). I have tried linking the spoken to a scene (which is what is working perfectly in the office) and I also tried running a program to the device for each. Both ways are getting the exact same results. What am I missing here?
  6. I tried it with both buttons as part of the scene (both as controllers) as well as with two separate scenes (one for each button). I'm getting the same result both ways
  7. A little more info: I have an 8 button KPL in the bedroom and an 8 button KPL in the living room. Both have a Good Night button that turns off all lights in the house except for the bedside lights and bathroom lights. I set a program for each of the Good Night buttons to turn both button LEDs on at 10:30 and that works fine. All of the lights turn off/on as they are supposed to no matter which of the Good Night buttons I press. The problem I'm having now is that when I press either of the Good Night buttons, the Good Night button on the other KPL stays lit. If I press the lit Good Night button it turns off but the other KPL's Good Night button lights up. So I can never have both Good Night buttons off at the same time. I have tried one scene with both buttons as controllers and two separate scenes with one button as a Controller and the other as a Responder (with level off) with the exact same result. Both buttons are set to non-toggle (on) by the way.
  8. I have a button on a KPL labeled "Good Morning" and one for "Good Night". I would like a program that would turn on the LED light for the Good Morning button at 6am and have it stay on until I press it. Then have it stay off until 6am the next morning. Same with the Good Night button at 11pm. That way I can easily see the button to press no matter how dark it is in the room. Thanks for any help you can provide!
