Greetings, Using the Scenes I have a lot of Scenes that on is meant to be a "mood scene" where I set a Movie Scene and I have a bunch of buttons and lights. It seems like the command is sending Fast On because the lights and buttons are either on or off. Am I missing something?? Devon

Hello, Following the network security document, it said to "set http-client mode to "verify" when I did that. It would not log onto the portal. But there was also a whole section on importing Certificates. I tried using firefox going to the site, and exporting the certificates in the whole chain as X.509 PEM but they would not import into the isy-994i. Can you suggest where to get the chain. Why not build it into a software update, manual CA registration... Geesh. We do like the ISY to Alexa integration. Devon

Good point, I was hoping to get a slow ramp rate, I got "instant on" MakeSunShineInBasement - [iD 0006][Parent 0001] If On Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri Time is 7:30:00AM Or On Sun Time is 9:00:00AM Then Set Scene 'Dionte-Good-Morning' On Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

Hi All, I have seen this discussed, but I couldn't find the answer. I want a scene that ramps over the 9 minutes that turns on the house in the morning. So I created a "Wake-up" program, and expected that when I went "On" instead of "Fast On" that it would ramp. Any help would be appreciated, Devon

Ok that worked but I don't want to set them locally I want to set them centrally. Devon

Hi All, I am just trying this, never tried it before. What I am trying to do is get a single click to turn on the light 70% and double click 100%. So I did this in my bathroom where I set the ON rate at 70% in the device. Then test doing on, fast on and it works perfect from the ISY. When I go to the device the ISY reports that the device is on at 70% but it is outputting 100% and so is the device. The device I am trying this with is a 2477D v.40 What am I doing wrong? Devon

Hi All, I have done 3 house installations and all of them have an ISY-99i in them. #1 There is no other effective way to manyage ISY. #2 90% + of the programming can be done so that it still works with out the ISY on. #3 ISY shows week spots on wiring. Likely something plugged in interferring with the Insteon signals. #4 Great diagnostics. #5 Great Support. Each of my installs have more than 50 devices in it. Very easy to manage. DS

Michel, I do have a problem with both Thermostats. What do I do now. 1. Drop them from the ISY. 2. Turn off ??? 3. Relink. Devon.

I have installed two Venstar thermostats and while I can read the values it doesn't seem to respond to me setting them. It just stays the way it was, I wonder if I missed a step. 1. Hook up Thermo's (professionally done) 2. Hook up AC points 3. Put ISY in linking mode 4. Press Set button 5 seconds. 5. Rename to something logical. 6. Monitor. I note the heat / cool state has to cycle before it shows up. Setting it says it is setting the Insteon device, but I don't see it on the screen of the Venstar. Issues? ? Devon

Mitch Can you give me an example oaf how the fade stop should work? Is there someway for me to see what a button is throwing off as commands? Devon

Hi Guys, I have this bit of code... If Control 'Great Room / GR-TopOfStairs-KPL.1.1' is switched Bright Or Control 'Great Room / GR-TopOfStairs-KPL.1.1' is switched Fade Up Then Resource 'Living Room - Sonos Volume Up' Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') If you wait 5-10 seconds between keypress you can control the volume Shouldn't this be so that as you hod it, every once and a while it keeps sending the volume up???? Virtual Controllers... Devon

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I am going to try a solution (well tonight) to hard to program lights during the day. Tim, I tried the double press on, but I have all LED lights. The double press the lights are "linked" and they come on full then go off. I suppose I could take the controller out of the scene and then have the ISY run it all. But since this double on function is only going to exist in 4 places (the adult places) then it might be worth it. But the ISY is not as "Instant" as Insteon. I really appreciate all the help and I will post the final solution if I get it. I am going to try the simpler solution first rather than a programmable folder. Thats a bit above me. Devon

Hi All, In my house of dozens of Insteon dimmers I want to be able to turn each room to night time, then if the "Night Time Button" is pressed after 1 second but within 5 seconds I want to be able to set all the rooms into "Night Time Mode" In P-Code something like this.. if KPL-B is on wait 1 if in next five seconds KPL-B is on Set Insteon Scene NightTimeKitchen On Set Insteon Scene NightTimeBedroom On end end but of course my problem is translating that into something that works reliably in the ISY. Thoughts?

I totally understand. I had nothing but trouble in my kitchen in the past. I removed all the v1 hardware, upgraded to V2 took out all the access points, and put in the passive crossover it worked great. Using wireless technology to bounce around signals is basically flawed as much as I can tell.

Hi All, I wanted to share a method that is working really well for me of running Insteon / ISY-99 in the big rooms of my house. I live in essentially a 4 bedroom house. There are 3 really big rooms - the Master Bedroom (550 sq ft) the kitchen (520 sq feet) and the living room (750 sq feet). In the really big rooms I put a dimmer at the end of each track and in the fans, lights all are on their own dimmer or their own embedded controller. The light switches in these rooms have no load wires on them just a bank of switches that have the hot and neutral hooked up. This is more expensive than doing it the standard wiring way but the house wiring is now VERY VERY simple. Through the switches of the large rooms there are no load wires just two wires entering each box. In the rafters there are also just two wires leading up to the local dimmers and controllers in the fans. When I was telling the electrician, what do you want going over to those tracks. Hot and Neutral just hot and Neutral. And at the end of every track there is a surface mount switch box with a dimmer in it. I know it is more expensive. But I also know I can control any light in the 3 big rooms on and off in any way for any scene. The switches are independent of the loads and i can reprogram everything via the ISY. My electrician could not believe how simple it was to pull the wiring. "What do you want in this box" Hot and Neutral. And that one, Hot and Neutral. In the small rooms that essentially have light, fan, and side lamp we did standard loads as it didn't make sense in a small room, but I can say the control in the large rooms is fantastic. -Devon BTW, the loads are all LED lights not that would make a difference to a 600W dimmer but most of the tracks have about 30-40 w on them.
