  1. Hey there I just bought a pair of these on sale this week. You can actually use the scene buttons easily in programs as triggers. I'm using the On state for each button to trigger different programs to set blinds to various levels. If you lookup the advanced settings page on Zooz's website you can see how to adjust the LEDs and the relay function. I have it set with all of the LEDs permanently off and the relay decoupled from the physical switch. In effect this gives you a 5 button controller. Looking at the setting in ISY it looks like you can distinguish between On, 3x, 4x, and 5x presses. Oddly 2x isn't in the list. I'm only using a single press for each button to keep the WAF high.
  2. In case anyone stumbles on this post looking for an answer.... I trudged along using a Micromote for awhile. This week I found the Zooz Zen32 5 button keypads and orderd a pair. They were detected by the ISY perfectly fine and I could setup programs with the trigger of on for each of the buttons. They have an advanced settings listing on the Zooz site so I could setup all of the LEDs as disabled and unlink the large button from the relay. It allows for an easy way to trigger 5 scenes from a Decora size hole. Side note the switch itself has multiple tap combinations supported under another platform out of the box. With ISY it looks like you can trigger on tap or hold.
  3. The only buttons that appear are Query and Write changes. Under programming there is nothing to check status or change status of the buttons or scenes. It just shows up an an empty controller.
  4. It looks like a no go. I'm on 5.3.1 and when I pair the device it comes over as a controller with the only options being query and write changes. No direct control, and no way to query the button states via a program.
  5. Ok so I'm working toward jumping away from Homeseer and I've got the ISY in place, Polyglot running in a virtual machine, and now starting to migrate test devices over. So far everything is looking good. The last little hurdle I'm worried about is support for a pair of Leviton VRCS4-M0Z 4 button scene controllers. The only post I saw referenced it back in 2016 and awaiting multichannel support in 5.0 code. I don't need them to behave as scene controllers, just as 4 unique button pushes that trigger events to adjust Bali/Graber Zwave blinds. They were a real PITA to setup in Homeseer and the blinds "just working" are a huge part of the wife acceptance factor. Is anyone using these in ISY as a trigger device at all? Appreciate any input!
  6. Thanks MTB. I appreciate the pointer!
  7. Hmmm hadn’t thought of that. I’m experimenting with the end goal of hopping from Homeseer to Home Assistant and ISY so that could fit in. I had just assumed if ISY didn’t expose user code controls to its own programs that it would not be exposed to Home Assistant. thanks!
  8. I’m looking at making the jump back over from Homeseer and ensuring I can replicate all of my various programs. One that has been handy is having the ability to add and remove lock codes via a single program. I’ve poked around the interface and searched here and I’m not finding any way to do this via a program in ISY. Am I missing something obvious or is this not supported? Thanks!
  9. Thanks LeeG. I setup the scene on the Isy and see things update. Sadly I'm trying to drive Cinemar Mainlobby and they do not track scene status so I'm stuck with a manual workaround. I toggle the relay, track the scene, and have a program toggle the relay back to off after a few seconds to keep all the variables straight.
  10. I just installed two IOLincs for my garage doors and I'm beating my head against the wall trying to get the momentary mode working. I've tried programming through ISY and manually but the device never seems to take the setting for momentary. When choosing momentary mode B the Off button simply won't trigger the relay. Likewise issuing an On command never results in the relay status toggling back to off. Any suggestions on what I could be missing? Thanks!
  11. Exactly what I found when I lagged to GUI and was scratching my head till I saw the variable flipping. I added the disable and found I was have to send an enable and then a run-if....if I'm remembering correctly. That's when I went hunting for a virtual device and finally settled on the elk output acting as a virtual device to test against. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk - now Free
  12. Oh! For anyone thinking of using this.... I am using hosted Exchange with a email distro list that not only hits our email but also texts our phones via the cel company's @vtext.com for Verizon. All the companies have an email to cel text message address and it comes in handy as a backup to email. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk - now Free
  13. Crazy week at work so I haven't had a chance to deep dive on this but I do appreciate the replies everyone! This setup has been a great tool for us as we've has a problem with a babysitter and a pet/housesitter. We were away on vacation and found out the service was visiting every other day for a grand total of 2 minutes rather than the daily 30 minute visit we paid for. The last day they were there 15 apparently doing everything right before we came home. After that we decided to actually have the ISY email us on each alert so we knew sooner rather than just having a log at the end. I tried have a single program that activated but it continually looped toggling the variable back and forth. That was my final frustration before I stumbled on using an Elk output as the toggle. It was nice and clean for the activation and the test. I have to read over the responses in detail over the weekend as I'm sure there has to be a simple logical test staring me in the phase but I'm missing it. Thanks again! 14. The physical keypad is something I'm trying to avoid as it is part of tracking 3rd parties. I don't want an easy way to disable it. I couldn't find an easy way to use a program to engage this. I'm looking for the control to go to Mainlobby with a pushbutton or something like eKeypad. In both of these situations I had to actually trigger a Run-If or Run-Then. If I simply run the program is couldn't find a way to abort it running other than issuing a disable which the. This made restarting it a pain as it required enabling it again. Maybe I'm missing something easy here? The smoothest way I could find to do this was utilize an Elk output as a trigger. A folder of my programs uses that output as the If-Then test to enable the programs in the folder. A virtual device in ISY would hugely simplify this but from scanning the archives here I'm dreaming as it looks like this has been requested before.
  15. I have a subset of programs that check for certain doors to open and send an email notification. IE: if we're away from home and the petsitter or babysitter starts roaming the house we get an email. Today I have them all grouped in a folder that tests against a variable to see if they should run. I have to manually edit that variable to activate the group of programs. The alternative would be disabling the individual programs and going in and activating them one by one when we leave. In an idea world there would be a virtual device that I could test against to enable/disable the set of programs but I don't see any support for this. The only other thing I can come up with is actually using a real switch to allow for this and that just seems a little silly. Am I being dense and missing an easier way to do this? Any suggestions appreciated! Thanks, -Ed
