  1. I’m having an Insteon signal reliability problem that is inconsistent with my understanding of how dual band devices repeat signals. I was hoping someone could offer some insight. I have about 20 Insteon devices in my home but the relevant ones are: • ISY/PLM upstairs • ToggleLinc switch in the garage, load connected to overhead garage lights • KeypadLinc inside near garage door, button A set as a controller and responder to the garage light connected to the ToggleLinc ISY programs turn on/off the garage light (ToggleLinc) according to several conditions (timer, garage door open/closed, etc.). About half of the time this works fine, but the other half it does not, suggesting that the command from the ISY does not reach the ToggleLinc. However, button A on the KeypadLinc (responder of the garage lights) is always updated by ISY commands, suggesting that there is no problem with ISY commands reaching the KeypadLinc. Furthermore, when I press button A on the KeypadLinc (controller for the garage lights), the lights always turn on/off, suggesting no issues with KeypadLinc commands reaching the ToggleLinc. My question is: If ISY commands reliably reach the KeypadLinc (because the button LED status is always updated) and commands from the KeypadLinc reliably reach the ToggleLinc (because physically pressing the button reliably turns on/off the lights), then why doesn’t the dual-band KeypadLinc successfully repeat the ISY commands it receives to the ToggleLinc? Hope that makes sense. It’s been bugging me for a few years. Thanks.
