  1. A post at https://forums.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=156791 describes using the Insteon hub as a network PLM with HomeSeer. When I sell my home I would like to leave behind a controller for the X10 switches but not leave behind a computer.
  2. Does the ISY have native support for X10 and Insteon? My understanding is that is needed a PowerLinc 2413S to interface with the power line. http://www.smarthome.com/powerlinc-modem-insteon-2413s-serial-interface-dual-band.html The ISY does come in a bundle with both items included. http://www.smarthome.com/isy994i-controller-insteon-amazon-echo-support-with-insteon-dual-band-plm.html I had heard about the short life of these PLM modules. Is that also true of the hubs? I have been using a CM11a interface for X10 for about 18 years. I still use my PowerBook 1400 with XTension to control my X10 switches.
  3. The ISY uses a PLM to connect to the power line to control X10 and Insteon devices. Could it also use an Insteon hub? It would connect to the hub using the LAN and the hub would control the Insteon and X10 devices. I found a YouTube video that shows the HouseLinc software connect to an Insteon hub over a LAN. So the computer does not need an X10 or Insteon power line interface. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rQBv3jig__M
