Michel, It's truly amazing what you can accomplish, when you read the instructions!. I was attempting to access the admin console though a "favorites" link I had on my web browser. As soon as I downloaded the JAVA App and ran it, every thing became hunky-dory. Thanks. Art

Alright. After another reboot of the ISY/PLM along with connecting the PLM on another electrical line, and reinitializing the admin console there is still no joy in Mudville. There is no status on any of my units in the admin console. Again, the problem occurred afyer upgrading to 2.8.16. Suggestions? Art

Oberkc, I've tried unplugging and replugging PLM/ISY. BUt I'll go try again. LeeG, Before the upgrade, I was having no problems. Now I can't control anything. I will also try running an extension cord from another outlet. They ISY/PLM is in my electronics room with all the A/V equipment for the house. Thanks to both of you for the reply. Art

I got all my earlier problems squared away. In addition, I made a succesful change swapping out one KPL for another. I then decided to upgrade the firmware to 2.8.16. I followed all the instructions in the Forum for upgrading the firmware. I believe that the upgrade was succesful. The help:about shows the firmware as 2.8.16. However, I still cannot finr the ISY in "My Network Places" and when I open the administrative console through the UDI website none of the statuses are shown. What can I do to fix this? Thanks. Art

Rand, My ISY is not showing up in "My Netwrok Places" even after the reset. Suggestions? Thanks, Art

Rand. After killing power to the PLM and ISY and restoring it, the ISY was unable to communicate with 2 SWL's. They were on the same circuit as the units I replaced. I pulled the units and found a wire had come loose removing power from the 2 downstream SWLs. I have replaced the wire and all is well (for now). I'll upgrade my software later today. Rand, I'm not sure which version (2.8.8, I think) of the firmware I'm running but it definitely needs to be updated. How can I check for the firmware version? I'll power down and power back up and see what happens. Thanks for the support! Art

Yesterday, I decided to do some changes to my installation. I deleted the units (a Switchlinc and a KPL) through the admin console. I made the changes and then started the linking process. The linking process has been running for the last 23 hours. I gather from what I've read in the forums that the ISY is searching for something that it can't find. I failed to delete a scene that one of the units I changed out was in. Is this what the ISY is looking for? How do I stop the linking and correct my error? Thanks. Art

Last night, the ControLinc was not in My Lighting after several attempts to link to it. In addition, the event viewer would not open up. I shut everything down last night and when I opened the adminsitrative control panel, lo and behold, it was there. Then I tried opening up the event viewer and it opened flawlessly. Maybe I was too impatient waiting for the ISY to locate the ControLinc. I don't know but it is in My Lighting now. Thanks for the suggestions. Art Lazarow

Michel, Probably should have mentioned this. When I click on Tools/Diagnostics/Event Viewer, nothing happens. Art

I have dusted off my ControLinc and was going to use it with some Lamplincs and Appliacelincs to control the Christmas Decorations. I have been unable to link to the ControLinc using the "Link to ControlLinc" Function from the administrative conrol panel. I even ran an extension cord from another outlet to the PLM and connected the ControLinc to the same extension cord. The ISY never recognizes the ControLinc. Help! Art

WAF impact was too great. I pulled the 8-button KPL and replaced it with a switchlinc. KPL was not essential, WAF was. I'll track down the communications issue with a set-up that does not impact the WAF. Thanks for all who tried to help! Art

Rand, She's not got the laptop anywhere near the bathroom. I did take it off-line yesterday and did not get any bad comms but I had good comms with it on-line. I deleted the last scene and device in the master bath and re-added. So far, I haven't had any problems. I'll keep an eye on it and have told the wife that any time she has problems with the lights to come and get me. I added 5 devices yesterday and some more scenes and they have been solid. I keep hoping that I have the problem solved. Thanks, Art

Rand, You're a killjoy and dad gummit you're absolutely right ! I'm still having problems and to make matters worse they are much more intermittent. Also, they are in the Master Bath so WAF is seriously impacted. I haven't been able to disconnect the wife's computer during an episode of affected communications, yet. I've checked most of the other possible offenders. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks, Art
