Have you used scene modifiers including battery operate Insteon devices? If so, ISY will constantly attempt to update those devices that cannot be updated without being in "linking mode". Since about v5.1.x this has been a bug in the concept and UDI hasn't fixed it.
As a work-around you can disable battery device writes and attempt to empty the ISY cache for each device by putting them into linking mode and attempting to write updates to each device, one at a time. The other method is to factory reset your ISY. Unfortunately, until this bug is recognised and fixed, it will likely keep happening.
Hi,
Thanks so much.
Actually I am using an insteon hidden door sensors and a motion sensor. I do seem to go through batteries with the insteon hidden door sensor. Is this related to the ISY trying to update the device?
I logged in tonight to check a program that seemed not to be working but I didn't have the constant updating tonight.

Hi,
I suspect my ISY has been damaged by a lightening storm. The insteon PLM connected to it was damaged and the ISY now has a blinking blue and red LEDs(error and memory).
The ethernet port on the back has no lights.
Any thoughts on what I should do? Do I need to buy a new one? Does UD repair them?
Thanks. -

Orchestrated, but I don't use it very often and very rarely on the iPad, so I haven't done much to customize it or use the more complex features. Mobilinc looks nice, but I prefer Agave overall because it's more intuitive for me. eKeypad lets you control individual keypads from the app, activate function keys, bypass/un-bypass zones, etc. The ISY exposes the features that you're actually likely to use on a daily basis, but it is missing some more esoteric options.
Thanks

Which version of Mobilinc? I have it on both my iPhone and iPad, and I'm using the latest version of each from the app store. Both have similar-looking and acting Elk support.
Note this is just talking to Elk through the ISY, which somewhat limits what it can do, and Agave does the same thing (which also has Elk support). You can arm the alarm in several modes, disarm it, and see the state of the alarm and the zones and outputs, but it's not at the same level of eKeypad, which talks directly to the Elk.
Thanks
Do you have the HD or orchestrated?
What does ekeypad give you?

It would be best to repost this in the mobilinc subforum so that the author, Wes @InsteonNut, can comment.
Thanks
Will do

Hi,
Thanks Teken. I'm always impressed to see you helping everyone out...don't know where you get the energy!
Ok. So last night I went around and cleared the impending writes so the water symbol appeared.
Unfortunately still no heartbeats were presentI woke up this morning and checked the AC to see that there were no longer even ON or OFFs on the DRY and WET sections. The heartbeats were also missing.
I have updated my Java app, cleared it's cache. The UI and firmware of the ISY match and are both 4.6.2How do I hard reset the devices? I found the restore option under the device in the AC but not hard reset.
So I seem to be moving backwards. It's very strange as when I first installed these with the ISY I had no issues and no issues with the great program that the fellow member wrote.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Im using that awesome program from one of the users on this forum for the leak sensors with my ISY.
Things were going fine and then earlier in the year I had some issues with my ISY and lost the program and had to re-write them all which I just got around to do.
One of the sensors heartbeat is never working and I'm getting the error.Questions:
1. The heartbeats do not come on straight away when I press the button, is this normal? Usually the next day they are present
2. Have a look at the image. Why do some of the leak sensors have a water graphic and others have 101?
3. The one devices heartbeat hasn't worked at all yet it catches a leak when I test it. The battery is 1.7V and it's close to an access point. Any ideas?thanks in advance,

Hi
Thanks guys.
Yes, this was the problem.
I had to also reset my M1 ethernet adapter as it received the same subnet from the last router.
This was a pain...
The z-wave schlage locks also decided to lose their connection to the ISY.
All is sorted though.
Thanks for your quick responses. If anyone wants to know how I did it, shoot me a message and I'll be glad to walk through the ISY and ELK instructions.

Hi lip,
With kind regards,
Michel
Thanks for the reply.
The link took me to resetting the ISY...is this the only solution?
Thanks.

Hi,
I recently changed my router and the new one has a prefix of 192.168.1 whereas the old one I believe had 192.168.0
I can no longer find my isy on my network with the java tool.
My router sees the device as 192.168.0.210 but when I try to add this to the isy java menu, it can't find it nonetheless.
I have searched on the forums and found someone talk about a similar issue which they solved by using the CT command but I cannot telnet in to it as it says "Connecting To 192.168.0.210...Could not open connection to the host, on port 23: Connect failed"
Any ideas? I don't want to reset it if I don't have to.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks so much.
I did what you said but didn't find any misbehaving ones.
I'm wondering if the issue is related to one of my wireless insteon devices like larryllix suggested?
One of the issues I have is that the damn isy works so well I don't touch it for a year and forget how everything works...ughhh....
