  1. Thank you for that question, it got me thinking... I have a mix of Echo Dots and Firesticks (with Alexa voice remote). Evidently Firestick devices do not support door locks, but Echo devices do. I'm not sure if that is by design, but it appears that is the cause of my issue.
  2. Update... I looked into the duplicate entry issue, and followed some of the recommendations. I was able to remove the duplicate entries, and only the v2 skill entries remain, but the door lock issue remains.
  3. Good point. I failed to add that I went to Alexa's smart home section, and discovered new devices. The "side door" I added to the portal, appeared in the list of devices as a lock. I just discovered something that might be related to the problem? I noticed most items are listed twice. Once as the name "Master Bath Light", and the other including the category in parentheses "Master Bath Light (device)". The side door only appears once with the lock parentheses. I forgot all devices and re-discovered twice, but the side door still only appears once as ZW 005 Side Door (lock).
  4. I have been using Alexa to control various scenes and devices for a while using the ISY Optimized for Smart Home V2 skill. I recently purchased a Schlage Connect BE469NX with the intent of locking, or checking to see if it is locked via Alexa. I was able to add the lock to my z-wave network, and operate it normally using various programs, etc. I was also able to add it to the ISY portal, and the category is "lock". But when I attempt to use any of the expected commands: Is Locked: "Alexa, is side door locked?" Is Unlocked: "Alexa, is side door unlocked?" Lock: "Alexa, lock the side door" I receive the response: "Sorry, door locks aren't supported on this device". However if I attempt them using the basic ISY skill -- "Alexa, ask Izzy...", I receive the expected response (e.g. Side door is locked", I wasn't able to locate any related posts in the Amazon Echo forum nor on Google. I suspect I'm just making a mistake somewhere, or missing something. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
