RLIKWARTZ Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 The status for triggerlinc along with others is on, off and responding. What does responding mean in context to checking for a status? If a switch is responding then I would think it would be on or off for instance. I'm trying to figure out if a switch hasn't been trigger after a reboot it doesn't show a status either on or off. So does that mean it's not responding?
LeeG Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 The Responding check is looking for the Red ! indicator to the left of a node which indicates the ISY is unable to communicate with the device. With a TriggerLinc being a Controller Only device the only scenario I can think of would be the ISY tried to update the TriggerLinc for a Scene update/change and could not reach the device. Could be it was not put into linking mode or it was not in RF range.
RLIKWARTZ Posted April 28, 2013 Author Posted April 28, 2013 I was just wondering if it could be used in the case a device hadn't returned a status yet because a query can't be done on a triggerlinc it has to push the status. It sounds like it can't be used that way. Thank you.
LeeG Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Responding would not cover that but perhaps a Program that checks for If Status 'TriggerLinc - Opened' is not Off and Status 'TriggerLinc - Opened' is not On Have not tried this but it seems like it would work.
