paauto Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I have two seperate circuits where the load is controlled by a two wire switch and there are a few other standard three wire switches linked to the two wire. Everything was working perfectly until we had a power outage the other day. I got error messages that the ISY was unable to communitcate with each of the two wire devices. Also, the linked switches no longer controlled the two wire devices. The two wire devices worked locally in that they were able to turn the lights on and off (although they did not control the linked switches). I turned off the breakers to the affected circuits and no luck. I unplugged the ISY and PLM and no luck. I then did a resotore on each of the two wires and no luck. Ultimately I removed and then re-installed/re-linked the devices and they are working fine. Thougths?
Brian H Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Did you do a Factory Reset and then the Restore or just a Restore? Guess here. Power failure may have scrambled the link database.
paauto Posted September 27, 2013 Author Posted September 27, 2013 Did you do a Factory Reset and then the Restore or just a Restore? Guess here. Power failure may have scrambled the link database. I first did a restore from the ISY and then did a factory restore at each device (pulled the tab out under the switch).
Brian H Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 So a Factory Reset. Pull out set button and wait a few seconds. Push set button all the way in and holding it until the beeping stopped. Then releasing the set button. Didn't help.
