Teken Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I didn't even know this product was under development but its ready for purchase. PAR 38, 12 watts, 60W incandescent bulb, estimated 52, 000 hours of service life. http://www.smarthome.com/2674-222/INSTE ... 12W/p.aspx Teken . . .
Brian H Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I had not seen it in the FCC Database. Not sure if it has a RF transmitter in it. The sales page specifications are not overly clear. Says does not act like a radio beacon but also says 150 feel range.

Says does not act like a radio beacon but also says 150 feel range. Yeah, it doesn't actually say dual band. But, both communications standards are listed. Probably a rush job to have the item published and some of the finer details were not included during its web presence release. Teken . . .
Brian H Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Recently added to the FCC Database. Grantee: SBP Product Code: 26742.

From the Smarthome page "Featuring dual-band INSTEON technology for the fastest and most reliable performance" Now I just wish Smarthome would introduce a color settable bulb like the Hue...
LeeG Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 The Beacon has to do with the 4 tap Set button coupling test. Neither of the LED Bulbs have Beacon support as neither has a Status LED to report same/opposite phase.
gatchel Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I find it interesting that they still can't get certain things right with their products... In one line they are saying this:" Every INSTEON LED Bulb is color calibrated to 2700K for that familiar warm glow." At the bottom in the specs they list 2900K. PROOFREAD!!!
