Hi all,

 

I assumed that the ISY supported anything and everything Insteon however, I am unable to get the ISY to see my wireless motion detectors.

 

My questions are:

 

Are these supported?

Where do I see the supported device list?

You using an ISY99i or ISY994i?

What revision firmware are you using with your ISY Controller?

 

Yes they should be supported. Though the later ones with the new part number may need a later version of firmware.

To be recognized.

 

Are you waking them up before trying to add them? As they go into a power saving mode and can't be added without waking them up.

 

How close to a Dual Band Unit are the motion sensors?

I'm using the 994i.

 

These are brand new so I thought they would work. I'll look in to updating the firmware on the actual motion detector.

So the auto discovery wouldn't work, however, I did manually add it and it showed up.

Battery devices are added using New INSTEON Device as they are asleep otherwise and cannot respond to commands.
