I've been having communication issues with an ApplianceLinc module and was considering upgrading to the new Insteon On/Off dual band module but want to be sure it is compatible with an ISY-99i before I purchase...

The device works with the 994i. I believe that module was released well after 3.3.10.

That's what I was afraid of. I'd hate to have to update my ISY just for this module...

The current Dual Band KPLs (only KPLs available) are not supported on the 99i along with list of other Insteon that have been released since 3.3.10. Moving to a 994i eventually seems inevitable.
