Eddie Reed Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Anybody have any experience with whole house power filters. Our entire house is Insteon and we are having a lot of switch failures (three ControlLincs and one relay link in the last month alone). I'm sure the problem is with the house power coming in and not with the switches themselves. We used to just loose power in the past when there were problems, but they realigned the power grid for our area to include the local hospital (which they keep online at all costs). Any help is appreciated.

If you have a whole house filter installed have the electrician tighten down all of the neutral bar connections and the connections the the breakers themselves etc while they are in the panel. Also if your lights dim when a major appliance kicks in you may have other issues to address.
Eddie Reed Posted June 24, 2008 Author Posted June 24, 2008 Sounds like that is what I want. Seems every time a thunderstorm rolls through, I loose another switch. Thanks For The Advice, Eddie
