Communicating using http and ISY programming

I hope I'm posting to the correct group.

All of my non-Insteon devices are controlled with http resources. Is it possible to use variables in http resources? As it is, I need over 200 resources to perform all the operations I require. If I could use variables, that number would drop to less than 50.

Is it possible to test the response code of an http transaction? Writing a REST feedback program is much more difficult on a device which accesses my LAN from the Internet side of my router (needs https). Plus, not all devices on my network provide programming capability.

Is there a more suitable way to program the ISY, like an .xml file or something so that a normal editor can be used instead of all the click-type-click-typing? Because of the redundant nature of programming on the ISY, cut-n-pasting would save a lot of time and perhaps limit the incidence of associated carpal tunnel syndrome.

Please forgive me if these questions have been answered elsewhere.

Thanks

Not yet. Version 5 do out early this year is supposed to support this.

Also not yet. Two way network comms are coming in the 5.x firmware series.

Sorry, I don't believe there is.
