6 button KPL LED off sequence

I had some problems with my 6 button KPL and I lost some of the local configuration. There was a sequence, that when entered, makes the OFF LED stay off regardless of button press. I remember doing some button sequence 3 times... but I don't remember what it was.

Right now... When the load is off... The off light is lit. This sequence "fixed" this undesirable configuration. I know that it's posted here.... somewhere... but I can't seem to find it.

This is what you want I think, posted by tfitzpatri8, the smarthome forum mod

Hold off button for 10 seconds, get a beep and the on/off pair start to flash.

Hold off button again for 10 seconds, get a beep, they continue to flash.

Hold off button a third time for 10 seconds, get a beep, lights stop flashing. Now press the On button, then press the Off button to see the LED stays off.

Repeat the procedure twice to turn it back on.

That is the manual method of setting a button toggle mode. It is also described in the KPL User Guide.

It is much simpler to press two buttons on the ISY display. Also the Restore Device puts it back if it is accidentally reset.

Lee,

I am going to give that a try. i did not think that method worked for the 6 button kpl off button, since it is essentially already a non toggle off.

Too easy. That did it... Thank you.

I suppose that the post that I saw provided instructions to do this same thing, locally, on the KPL itself (as if I didn't have an ISY).

I like this way much more!

Thanks for posting back. The post by Tom Fitz. (Smarthome forum post) covers those who do not have automation. I think it is easier to just do it through the ISY. Also, as I mentioned in an earlier post, now that ISY has the toggle mode definition a Restore Device will bring the definition back if the KPL is every reset.
