Comments for Insteon Devices (because they fail so often)

I have nearly a hundred Insteon devices and fairly regularly one of them fails - which is highly annoying given the cost of the devices.

 

While Smarthome are normally quite reasonable about warranty replacements (at least when purchased direct from them), it's hard for me to tell when I bought a particular device.

 

I could start a spreadsheet based on the Insteon address of the device - but it would be much easier just to have a "Notes" field for each device and then I could record the purchase date.

 

I suppose I could also mark the devices with permanent pen, but I only just thought of that... and it seems too low-tech!

Right click on device node and select Notes.
