raptor Posted August 6, 2014 Share Posted August 6, 2014 I have an 8 button keypad and I'm having problems with one of the buttons. Button G is programed to turn on my front entry light. If I push the button the button itself turns on(meaning the backlight) but the front entry light doesn't turn on. If i turn on button G from the admin console it turns on the light. Techman Posted August 6, 2014 Share Posted August 6, 2014 Make sure that the "G" button is included in the front entry light scene as a controller, also check to make sure the "G" button option is set as TOGGLE mode in the administrative panel. LeeG Posted August 6, 2014 Share Posted August 6, 2014 Button G is a Secondary button. The only way to turn On/Off a Secondary button is with a Scene which will be driven by the PLM when controlled by the Admin Console. With the PLM turning on the entry light device and the KPL button, the path from the KPL to the entry light device not working the path may be poor between the KPL and the entry device. Check things such as the KPL and entry light device being on opposite 120v legs. Also check the part of the ISY Scene that has the KPL button G as a Controller and the entry light device as a Responder for a good Responder On Level. Verify with a Show KPL Links Table that the Controller link is in the KPL pointing to the entry light device and the Show entry device Links Table has a Responder link record pointing back to the KPL.
