Missing Button on 8 Button Keypad

Hi,

I bought a new 8 button keypad to replace my broken keypad.  I installed the new keypad and do a 'replace' in the admin console.

For some reason, the first keypad button is missing.  I just couldn't add it back in.  If all else fails, I am prepare to 'flush' everything and reprogram the entire system.  How do I flush everything?

  Thanks!

Right click on one of the 7 buttons and select Group Devices.  The Main-A button will be the first in the list.

EDIT:  The Main A button does not have - A so the alpha list of node names often separates the first node from the Secondary button nodes.

Confirm this is the sequence followed ...

Added new KPL under a dummy node name

Right click on old existing primary node and select Replace With ....... using the new dummy node name

Restart Admin Console when Replace With processing is complete

Hi LeeG,

I solved my problem after spending some time troubleshooting.

For info and documentation if anybody else encounters this.

This is a 2 way setup.   The main switch is the keypad.  The other is a dimmer switch.  This problem occurs at the dimmer switch when the wire connection apparently came loose.   This causes the Keypad switch to be only 'semi connected' because the dimmer isn't always on.  (it should be on if the wire didn't came loose).  What threw me off was that all the other keypads were showing on the admin console.  This made me think that everything is ok except for the button 1.  Also, another lesson learnt is that for such a setup, you should install the secondary switch first before the keypad switch.

  Thanks LeeG!
