I/O Link Failure - Repairs?

I was surfing on the Smarthome forum and noticed a thread about I/O lincs failing. I have not personally seen any failures with these modules in the last five years or so. I have twenty of these devices deployed through out the property right now and all operate fine.

 

This is probably because we have rock solid power in my city, along with using four layers of surge protection in my home.

 

I am interested to see if anyone else has seen this sort of problem and if they ever figured out what the failure mode was?

 

I think this would be a great discussion thread for anyone wishing to repair the device. This assumes we as a collective team figure out what failed with in the I/O Linc.

 

Wild guess, a few capacitors?  :mrgreen:

Configure browser push notifications
