I'm looking for an Insteon alternative to the wireless garage entry keypads. What I'd like to be able to do is to provide access via a passcode and then to notify me that someone has successfully raised the door. I already have the Insteon garage relay and sensor.

If you do a search there is a forum post about making a program that mimics a combination lock.

 

Once the combination is seen by the ISY it would then fire off a email alert. Because you can define a code to reflect a person this would help you know who it is.

 

NOTE: The basic code did not actually open the door due to security concerns.
