edokid Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Just realized my 6 button KPL switches can turn into an 8 button one which is much better for me for some of them. Is it possible to do something similar but instead keep the top 2 buttons as 1, but be a toggle for the load, so ON/OFF by pressing it? Then I'll have the 4 smaller square buttons like normal, but replace the bottom rectangle "OFF" button which turns the load off by default, with 2 square buttons? So one rectangle on top, and then 6 squares below? Or does it have to be either 6 or 8?
oberkc Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Taking advantage of scenes, spare buttons, and an xacto knife, a seven-button keypad is quite possible.

You would of course need to cross link the two buttons together so it activated.

blueman2 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Yes, I have several 4 button KPLs. They have a very high WAF due to the more simple look and layout. My wife hates the 8 button and even the 6 button. But 4? Loves it. I just put AB in one scene, CD in 2nd scene, EF in 3rd and GH in a 4th.

Others have mentioned the four-button configuration, but relating this to high WAF may have been the slap to my head that this may be a solution to a WAF problem I have been having. Thanks.

stusviews Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 A 4-button KPL can control 3 or 4 devices, see #4
