All Communication Lost

I currently have a ISY944i running my home automation and it was working fine prior to my changes. I needed to replace a receptacle in the house so I flipped the breaker, changed out the receptacle and turned the breaker back on. Now I have absolutely no communication with home automation. The receptacle I replaced is on the same circuit as my modem and router. My network is working fine after turning the breaker back on.

In an attempt to fix the problem, I reinstalled the old receptacle, bringing the house back to its original condition prior to making any changes. Still absolutely nothing is working. I also relocated the ISY and PLM on a different circuit and it made no difference.

I also tried resetting the ISY several times it made no difference.

I'm sure it's probably something easy but i cannot figure it out. Any suggestions as to what to do next would be greatly appreciated as I am currently dead in the water and have a very unhappy wife!

Can you provide a little more detail about what isn't working? You can't access / login to the ISY? The ISY isn't actually powering up? The ISY is not present in your network when looking for it via the router? The ISY is not operating any scenes / programs?

Was the ISY given a static IP address or DHCP? Any LEDs blinking if so which ones are lit / blinking?

Sounds like the Router assigned a new IP address to the ISY to start with.

After that resetting the ISY (which is almost never needed) means the latest ISY backup has to be restored.

Hey guys,

Thanks so much for your responses. As it turns out, the router did indeed assign a new ip address and therefore shut down any communication with ISY. You guys are awesome and life savers. This is a great forum!

Right on, now assign a static IP address so you won't have this issue in the future.

And reserve that address in your router.
