Any Code Examples for the INSTEON 2413S SERIAL INTERFACE

Featured Replies

I've asked my son, a college student in engineering, to make me a little light-sensing device to talk to my ISY via Insteon using a 2413S. So I'd like to find some code examples of talking to the 2413S device. C, C#, Java, Visual Basic - any or all of these would be suitable.

(To get up to speed he'll use his Windows computer, but the device will eventually be made with a microprocessor as a standalone controller.)

Any ideas of where I could find some coding examples?

Smartlabs recently released the developers guides to many of the Insteon devices.

In the legacy area. There is the Powerline Modem Developers notes.

It may get you started on your project.

There is some Visual Basic information here.
