jmed999
I have 2 failed EZFloras and just got 2 new ones. The ones I have are integrated into folders, programs, etc. Once I link the 2 new EZFloras, how can I get the ISY to replace the old ones with the new ones such that all the programs will now use the new ones? Will the new ones be renamed the same as the old ones? I really don't want to go in and replace my old ones in every program as I have 9 zones and several programs. What's the best way to do this? Thanks! Link to comment
LeeG
Add the new EZFlora's to ISY using dummy names. Right click on Zone 1 of one of the failed units and select Replace 'oldezflora' with ...... which produces a list of EZFlora's to select from. Select one of the new EZFlora devices. The old EZFlora under the old EZFlora name will have the Insteon address changed to the selected new EZFlora. The new EZFlora dummy name will be deleted and the Admin Console closed. The existing Scenes and Programs using the old EZFlora name remain, using the new EZFlora Insteon address. I believe the old EZFlora and new EZFlora cannot be in a Folder during the Replace function. jmed999
My old EZFlora nodes are in a folder called "Sprinkler"and the New EZFloras are not in a folder. The old EZFloras do not have a replace option when I right click on a node. The New EZFlora does have the "Replace XXX with" option. not sure why the old ones do not have the replace option. Should I move them out of the "Sprinkler" folder? Any other ideas? Thanks! Link to comment
jmed999
BTW, I'm running 4.1.18. Thanks again! Link to comment
Jimbo.Automates
Yes, as Lee mentioned, he was pretty sure you needed to remove it from the folder. Link to comment
LeeG
jmed999 Move the old EZFlora's out of Folders, run Replace ......., move the old EZFlora names back to the Folders after the reboot of the Admin Console. The Admin Console closes at the end of a Replace so that two EZFlora devices do not have the same Insteon address. I would also suggest moving to 4.2.30 which is an Official release.
