All scenes stopped working

I'm using ISY 994i, v.4.2.30. A few days ago my PLM (2413S) seemed to stop working (scenes were not getting turned on/off programmatically) and after running several diagnostics, I was able to convince SmartHome to send me a replacement. Now that I've installed it, it looks like I have good comm and I can control devices just fine. But I can't turn on/off devices by turning on/off scenes. No scenes work anymore. ISY tells me the devices are on, but they aren't.

I've tried restoring devices, and I've tried deleting all devices and re-defining them in ISY. Scene Test appears to work, but the devices are not actually turning on/off. I also tried moving my PLM and ISY to another location where I have another router. I'm baffled.

Power down both the PLM and ISY994i

Power up the PLM then the ISY994i

You must use the Restore Modem (PLM) choice in the File Menu. To get the IDs correct in the modules and new PLM.

There is information on how to do this. On this UDI Wiki Page.

Thanks for replying, Brian. I did that. Several times actually. Just now when I did it again, the progress bar got to about 2% and then it went away. Didn't seem to do anything. Repeated with same result. So I tried deleting the PLM. Progress bar got to about 1% and then went away. What should I try now?

Deleting the PLM erases all link between the PLM and your devices. If you have a backup, then you can restore those links. If not, then you'll need to add all your device to the ISY. There's no need to restore the PLM because it has no records.

I have restored and deleted the PLM several times, unplugging, re-plugging, resetting everything I could think of. I've reached the point of exasperation and all I want to do now is start over with the ISY. Even that (deleting all of the devices from the ISY) is painfully slow. Do any of you experts have any suggestions about how I can get scenes to work again?

As mentioned, deleting the PLM is a big no-no. It will remove all link records, rendering scenes useless. You are probable going to have to either restore a backup and then restore each device, or re-add each device individually.

Right, I have patiently deleted every scene and device. Then I added an OutletLinc device (which controls a light) and a Dual Band KeypadLinc device. I can control the OutletLinc successfully through the ISY. Then I added a scene and added the KeypadLinc Scene C (controller) and OutletLinc to the scene. Scene Test is successful. However, when I turn the scene on, the OutLinc and KeypadLinc device states remain off, although the ISY shows them as on. I tried this with a different KeypadLinc with similar results. My whole automation system was working properly a week ago, with many devices and scenes and programs. That was when the PLM failed and I replaced it. Now I can't make even this simple configuration work. Sure hope somebody can tell me what's wrong.
