LarryF Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 How can I access an old ISY26 that was installed in 2007? This home has about 60 Insteon switches and plug-in modules and has been working great. The customer has sold his home and would like to disable the personalized programming. Is there a version of the Admin program that will still talk to the ISY26? Also, Can I upgrade the ISY26 to an ISY994i without loosing the link to all of the already installed modules?
stusviews Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Scenes are written to the devices themselves, programs are written to the ISY, so removing the ISY disables the programming without affecting anything else. Yes, you can use an ISY26. Release 3.3.10 is the latest revision for the ISY 26. Not all new devices are supported. Yes, you can migrate from the ISY26 to a ISY994i without losing links, But, if the ISY26 is powered from the PLM (2412), then the migration may be more involved.
LarryF Posted August 4, 2015 Author Posted August 4, 2015 Stusviews, Thanks for the prompt reply. I will give that a try and let you know. If I remember correctly, I think the P{LM may be the 2412. Larry
Brian H Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 (edited) The UDI Wiki says 2.7.15 is the last firmware release for the old ISY-26 and 3.3.10 is the last for the ISY-99i http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Archive_Official_Firmware_Releases http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Current_Official_Firmware_Releases Edited August 5, 2015 by Brian H
