sfhutchi Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 I am seeing the system 'hang' when I save changes on a simple program that I updated. It hangs for about 1 minute and then goes back to the program details screen where it shows this program as still being 'green' (not saved). I have tried multiple times with no success. Other previous changes have saved without incident. I will try deleting this one and create again.
Mark Sanctuary Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 I think this was happening to me too...but it went away when I exited and re-entered the admin console. Not sure if this helps or not.
sfhutchi Posted September 25, 2007 Author Posted September 25, 2007 I think that my whole system may have locked up. My programs no longer are functioning and 'My Lighting' has disappeared from my network places. I will reboot the ISY. This is surprising to me though as it has been VERY stable for the past few months.
Mark Sanctuary Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 This version 2.5 is a beta, its all very new code. We need to submit any bugs found so the guys can fix them. It will be stable again no worries.
Mark Sanctuary Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Looks like the Save Changes button has stopped responding again...I had my window open all night so I don't know if it has some timeout function. I also just restarted it and it still is not responding, the green changed icons just sit there green. And when I go out and come back in the Admin Console it looses all the changes.
Mark Sanctuary Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Aah I think I figured it out, whenever you try to rename/edit one of the old schedules or triggers it causes the "Save Changes" to stop working. And the only way I found to get it working again is to do a cold restart of the ISY.
Mark Sanctuary Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Yep thats it. If I cold restart the ISY then come in and edit/create any new schedules/triggers and it saves the changes just fine. As soon as I edit one of the old schedules/triggers the save changes does not work anymore.
Mark Sanctuary Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 One thing that does work on the old schedules/triggers is the remove button and it does not stop the save changes button from working. So I am replacing and deleting all my old schedules/triggers except for one so I can beta test when a fix is released.
Chris Jahn Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Steve, Mark, Thanks for the detailed responses; they should help me isolate the problem. One thing that does work on the old schedules/triggers is the remove button and it does not stop the save changes button from working. So I am replacing and deleting all my old schedules/triggers except for one so I can beta test when a fix is released.
