kissfan Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 I originally had ADT Pulse. Still do for the alarm system. However, it is way too limiting for home automation. I since purchased an ISY with z-wave. I had the ISY learn all my z-wave devices and then deleted them from ADT. So, ISY controls everything. But, does anyone know how to get ADT to give up primary control and shift it to the ISY? I copied over my z-wave devices to the ISY, but I want it to become primary now as ADT has such limited functionality. Any ideas?
kissfan Posted December 13, 2015 Author Posted December 13, 2015 Update: I somehow got it moved over, but lost my ISY devices. After a restore they're back but cannot be communicated with. Something I did? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
kissfan Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 Never mind... I decided to rebuild from scratch. Thanks ADT for your constant software updates </sarcasm>
tony Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Hi. Sorry to necro this thread, but I only found one other that just links back to itself and a generic zwave wiki that wasn't helpful for me - ( http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/17571-isy994-z-wave-and-adt-pulse-integration/ ) I'm in the same boat as the original poster. I would like to use the zwave stuff on my pulse network to trigger things, particularly the door and motion sensors. kissfan: "I had the ISY learn all my z-wave devices and then deleted them from ADT. So, ISY controls everything." If you're still around, I would love to talk to you about how you did this. How do I discover these devices from the ISY? Anyone? Thanks in advance.
kissfan Posted November 1, 2016 Author Posted November 1, 2016 Still here. The rediscovery consisted of manually adding them to the isy. One by one I put the isy in search mode and paired each device. ADT's software is amateurish and poorly maintained. I had high hopes, but I'm about to move my cameras over next. Pulse is a major disappointment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
tony Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Yay! Glad to see you! So, I get the part about putting isy in zwave search mode, but then what, trigger the sensor? Would it be easier/possible to add the whole network somehow?
kissfan Posted November 1, 2016 Author Posted November 1, 2016 Go to each zwave device and reset them. Then, put them in link mode and let the isy find them and add them to the isy configuration. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
